Help me with fit, please! - YouLookFab Forum

Bought a few tops lately, and I need some feedback on fit. I like a loose fit that skims my body, but I don't want to look like my clothes are too big.

1) The blue and black tops are the same top. The black fits, it is my usual size. The cobalt is a size larger - is it too big/baggy?? I'm tempted to keep it (you know I lurves my cobalt) but I don't want to look sloppy. (No they did not have the cobalt in my regular size.)

2) The grey and navy tanks are once again the same top - same brand, same size, same cut, but different fabrics. The navy is a linen blend and I love the way it fits, feels, looks. The grey tank is a jersey fabric, and I feel like it clings in all the wrong places. But I'm not sure if I'm being overly sensitive. Please tell me if it is significantly less flattering than the navy one.

I agree with Janet. Keep the navy and the cobalt - they both look great on you.

I can't tell how much it differs from the black but I think the cobalt looks great. I also prefer the navy tank both for the fit and for the color; that gray isn't nearly as flattering as the rich navy is on you.

I also can't tell from the photos whether the black is different from the cobalt - but the cobalt looks GREAT.

The navy is a great fit too. I vote return the jersey. xo

No love for the grey - I'm not imaging things. It will go back. The black probably too, since I already have several sleeveless black tops. Thanks all!

I LOVE the cobalt on you and think the sizing is better for a "fluid" look. I also adore, adore, adore the navy tank. The others can go back. If you want to size up in the black shirt (first one) that would work -- it's a nice neckline on you.

I was thinking I liked the navy and cobalt when I saw the pictures, and I'm glad to see I'm in the majority. The black doesn't look bad, but the fit and color of the cobalt just seem more interesting.

More votes for the cobalt and navy tops. I see the difference between the black and cobalt, and like the length of the cobalt better as well. The navy fabric has a more fluid drape that is very flattering.

Good choice, Museumgal--I also like the cobalt and the navy on you. The black is good, too, but if you don't need it that's another thing. It's a cute style on you, though.

(I do buy sometimes tops sized up, not for the width, but for the length! -that is your case with the cobalt vs black one, I think!)
