I am partial to the olive for you, I also like the rust with your skin tone, the white not so much. It is a basic good color but not as much on you.

Such a diversity of opinions over the colours! Fascinating how different people see different things.....

I am not a total convert to colour analysis but I would have thought you were cool, maybe a true winter, but these tones would be more in the soft autumn I think, and they do work.

I'm another whose favorite is the rust! I agree it's mystifying, since that "shouldn't" be a winter color. I also like the off white on you. The olive is fine, just not my personal favorite.

Janet FWIW I have always been a winter and when my hair was silver suddenly rust was very good. It was okay before but it was really good with silver hair. I like it now too with my copper hair. Maybe it is more to do with my skin being more light since living in the Northern hemisphere for 9 years. Not sure. You would think rust likes warm skin but not always so.

Thanks, everyone!

I brought home the cream and rust versions to try on with my summer bottoms. The rust is surprisingly good with my wardrobe, but it makes sense because I have so much blue and the rust looks really good with it. Plus a few printed skirts with rust in the pattern.

The cream works great with any solid color and with one or two patterned skirts, including one I just got from Anthro that is a little tricky to work with because it’s blue and cream (looks more white in the stock photo below) and very graphic, and pure white looks - little off with it, at least to my eye. The cream top and the Anthro skirt could sort of justify one another. I need to try on the Anthro skirt with more tops before committing to it.

If I keep the rust and cream tops (and at $20 a pop it’s tempting), I think I would still keep an eye out for another casual woven button-front shirt — sleeveless or short sleeved — in a whiter shade for summer. I have an old gauze one from Faherty, but it’s not always the right vibe.

Okay, I see you’ve already decided. Those three were my absolute favorite colors before I went grey! Lately, I’ve been adding olives, and a few pairs of tan footwear (sandals and clogs). Tan looks great with olive, and I have several vintage Coach bags in tan that I’ve enjoyed using. While I’m sorry you didn’t just love the olive, I always say, more for me!

That's a good style and fit-no matter the color--your choice-and none is bad-that is all about how you will style them or what are your needs. My choice woud be a version of whites -as most of my summer bottoms do have that color. Surely it is up on your things to pair with! Great new sneakers, which are they exactly?

I like the olive most, then the rust for you. Big yay to rust with blue!

Thanks, all!

I like the olive too, but in considering the bottoms I’d pair with this kind of top, the rust goes with more. I do like the olive with black though!

They still have tags on while I ponder.

Lyn, the sneakers are Adidas in the photo below — a classic from them and a very good deal at the Rack. My last pair of Adidas from Rack lasted many years! My old pair had silver stripes, but I have other sneakers with silver, and I have a good all-white pair, so this time I chose the black striped version.

The top you were wearing to shop is so much more flattering it's hard for me to see around it.

The sleek and sporty look suits you very well

Came here to praise the rust and looks like I am late to the party! I may have to snap one up myself.

I like the rust the best, but the cream also looks good and if it will be a workhorse, then I’d go with that (or buy both!).

Oh my goodness, I looooove the rust on you!
