One of several (ahem) tedious wardrobe tasks on my list is a sleepwear refresh.
I like to wear boxer-type shorts and a simple knit tank to bed year-round. I am ok on the shorts but the tanks have seen better days. (Way, WAY better days. Enough said.)
Can anyone help me find some tanks to replace them? I buy most of my wardrobe secondhand but am happy to shop retail for these.
My requirements:
- Cotton jersey preferred, will consider modal or similar but I would like these to be reasonably durable. NO to high synthetic content.
- Scoopneck preferred, will consider V-neck, NO to crewnecks.
- Ideally light pink and light blue to coordinate with existing sleep shorts, will consider heather gray. NO to white (gets dingy too fast) or darks or brights that will clash with the shorts (I don't want to replace them as well!).
- OK with either spaghetti strap or wider strap. Prefer non-adjustable straps for sleeping comfort. Will consider a short-sleeve tee if all other boxes are strongly ticked.
- Do NOT need to be marketed as sleepwear. Happy to buy from any department.
- Gently fluid fit. I do not want the constricting feel of fabric clinging to my belly but nor do I want to get all tangled up in a bunch of extra material!
- Shortish/cropped length. I am short with a short torso. Do not want a bunch of fabric bunching up around my hips and riding up.
- Prefer no spandex. Or very little. I just don't like the stiff feel of jersey knits with spandex.
- Bonus points for an evergreen style that is likely to be available for me to buy again when these wear out!
Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
