A resolution of mine is to start posting again and to really get my wardrobe working for me.

What do you think of this outfit?

1. Feels a little too tough with both animal print jeans and pleather jacket.

2. The cardigan and jeans don't harmonize, I guess, but I'll probably wear this today anyway, unless I get good suggestions or inspiration.

3. Close-up of the print.

Maybe the fuchsia top and jeans don't play nicely together? Am I seeing bad proportions?

I really like the silhouette in 1. I'm not crazy about two because the cardi seems to weigh your petite frame down. How about a more fitted topper like in number 1 but not exactly a pleather jacket? a knit blazer? blue denim jacket?

#1 is a bit tough overall, but fits perfectly and well proportioned. You can soften it up with a big soft scarf. . .

#2 looks comfy and nice. I bet IRL, the print jeans and grey in the cardi play well together.

Your legs look a mile long in those skinnies

I think both of the outfits look good on you and show off your great figure. Adding a scarf to #1 as MNsara suggests is a great idea. Welcome back!

Okay, back to your oufits: I LOVE #1. In the pic, I can't see the animal print of the jeans. If this feels too tough for you, personally, then just switch them out for regular skinnies?

The cardi in #2 seems a bit too voluminous to me to work well, but what would happen if you belted it?

I like #1/ I agree that a scarf might bump this outfit up

I think the cardi in #2 swallows you a bit.

#1-I like this. The jacket and leopard print = edgy to me.

#2-I also like this one, the cardigan gives a softer look, I'd just swap the shorter necklace for a longer pendant style to tie in the longer v lines of the cardigan.

Great short haircut, it really shows off your pretty face!

I really like both combinations; #1 looks more striking and visually interesting to me. I know how it can be slightly uncomfortable when an outfit feels like "too much" (too tough, too fashion forward etc.) so perhaps Sona's idea of softening it with a cropped non-pleather jacket would be good for making you feel more comfortable.

Thanks, everyone for the quick responses and warm greeting! QueenMum, the trip was just fine - thanks for asking, and having my outfits planned really helped me relax a bit. Suz , thanks, I love this hair cut. I think I'm homing in on the exact style I want, but it's still a work in progress.

I am wearing the cardigan around the house but will try it belted or with a longer necklace and then probably swap out for a jacket before I go on errands. Then I have to decide on shoes - maybe I'll post again since I can't add pictures to this post, but I hate to fill up the front page.

Becky, it's SO great to see you post again! You look fantastic. Your haircut is SO FAB and from the looks of your clothes, you've been busy! I agree that you could soften #1 with a scarf. The animal print is pretty subtle so it doesn't look like too much to me. I like the voluminous cardi with them as well and a pendant would be a nice addition to that one.
