Earlier this year, I followed a blogger (virtually) to Neiman Marcus and bought a designer item (on sale) after seeing pictures of her wearing it: it's a Derek Lam mixed media top that I thought I'd get a ton of wear out of. I love it in theory, but I am having a hard time making it work. It's got scuba/neoprene arms and back, and the front panel is this beautiful asian satin print. It's a close fit (intentionally) and I thought that would be good, because with my boyish figure, the basic t-shirt shape is usually great on me. But it's long, which makes it a bit awkward. It was originally styled online worn outside a pencil skirt but I find that a little odd looking, perhaps because I am not 6'2'' like the model. I've just tried it on with several things to get some opinions. How do you like it? How do you hate it? And how else would you try it? Many thanks!!!
