help me pick shoes for my skirt?

there are 6 options presented

1. flat loafers
2 tall boots (these are not the same ones I wore today) - no gap
3. a low heeled bootie, pretty standard style, leather
4. a high heeled bootie, black suede with tassel (the bootie itself is lower) - this is the only bootie I wear with dresses because of where it hits on my leg
5. black shootie sandal with wedge heel
6. black patent and suede mary janes

6 is the leat comfy which is why i didn't use it today.

I am considering to purchase option 7-8 as I seem to need something else, but comfy....both of these I can order via Nordstrom to my mom and she will ship to me as a gift to avoid vat. The timeline and risk of fit failure usually prevents me from trying this, but if you gals think one of these could help my shoe problem with skirts...I can risk it. (just how long after a purchase will Nordstrom accept a return?)

7. my consideration 1 by born / a shoe brand I have in same heel height
8. consideration 2 / sofft - a brand I haven't tried but can find size in a local store

which do you pick?

Jayne, this is a tough call without seeing the full outfit. From what I can see, I'd go with 4 or 6 (too bad 6 isn't comfortable, though!). Other could also be ok, but I'd need to see all of you to decide.

I think 4 and 6 are my preferences too, although 5 could work with the right outfit

I think the problem isn't with your shoes, it's the length of the dress or skirt. Raise the hem to knee-length and all of these work better.

If you specifically want a shoe that goes with a longer dress, I would vote for a pump with a much lower vamp. Your two new options both have a high vamp and will present the same problems all of your other shoes doe with this skirt.

Hemming is certainly an option I prefer. I find low vamp means pinched toes, else the shoes wont stay on. I have to walk several blocks to and from work every morning, and alot at work, so comfort is key.

i like the ones in photo 2 but if you can hem them
without losing the fab colour blocking go for it:)

I agree with CocoLion. I think that the skirt length needs a much lower vamp to elongate the leg and flatter your lovely figure.

Please don't give up; there are comfortable, stylish low vamps shoes out there. Good luck!
