Help me pick a watch strap? ETA Pics of the result

I need a new watch strap for my watch and can't decide on a color. I have to order online, because the combination of wide and short strap (it's a men's watch) isn't available in our b&m stores. I had already ordered the green one, #10. But the green color looked much warmer than it did on my screen, it really clashed with most of my wardrobe. The quality was great though, so I want to order the same strap in a different color.

The easiest would be to replace black with black. Or how about that dark blue, #12? Or would you pick something completely different?

My wardrobe is full of muted, soft, neutral or cool colors, on the darker side. I do wear the watch on most days.

Thanks. It's probably the easiest solution next to the black. Navy is one of my neutrals.

I like 11 and 12 for you, although given the different coloration of the green one, it's hard to guess. If the "bordeaux" is a rich burgundy IRL, that would get my top vote.

Thanks Carter. And I agree about the bordeaux, if it would really look that way IRL. I tried to look for some pics and it looks to be a kind of reddish brown or muted red?

I'm going to be a devil and suggest red or light blue. A nice juxtaposiotin with your dark neutral wardrobe.

A dark blue is fabulous (either #12 or even the cobalt #23). I do not think you could go wrong with those choices. I also love the bordeaux color, which also can work well as a dark neutral.

Yellow is just not good for my coloring and I guess I never liked it enough to try to make it work.

Thanks - I actually thought about the light blue, because I think it would look really pretty with the silver and white of the watch. But to me that would be a summer look? I can't quite imagine how it would translate to my fall and winter style.

Agree, it's so annoying. A friend I asked suggested one of the browns, too. But I don't really wear brown anymore, not even in accessories...

More pics of the colors. I think the colors in #2 are too saturated. Leaning towards the dark blue.

Have you thought about a nylon watchband? They are easy to change out. I recently bought a watch with one. That way, you could have a summer and a winter band. The other advantage of nylon is it's pretty long lasting.

Thanks Xtabay. I don't think a white strap is my thing. I do like cognac.

Thanks Jaileen. I don't think that a nylon strap quite fits the style of the watch, it's a dresswatch after all. Others might disagree... Oh and the changing is not a problem, I can change a leather strap myself in 10 seconds (I have this tool they are using in the store too, bought it for 3€ or so). It's more that I don't want to buy another one in two or three months time.

It appears that the bands have different color hardware from the photos you've recently added. Is there an option to choose your hardware or is it fixed by band color? I wouldn't mix the metals. I like the royal blue band as it would bring just a little color to your outfit, is fairly season neutral, and from what I can see it has the silver hardware. The dark blue is shown with gold hardware on the photo.

Thanks BrieN! These pics are from a different online store. I plan to order in a store where I can pick the hardware color myself, so I can go with all colors and pick the silver. They just don't have all the colors pictured in full, only the picture I posted in the beginning. That's why I googled for more pics where you can see the colors and came across these.

ok, I'm aware this is so irrational it can't be useful, but here are my impressions :
#7,12,13 : classic man watch
#6,10,11 : classic woman watch
#8,16,19,22,23 : bright coloured watches for children (I'm sure Angie will approve this comment
#2,4 : don't feel them with a silver watch

I like the dark blue or the brown (no 7). But no 6 and 11 are nice too. All very neutral.

Actually Skylurker, this is useful. I always thought about the colors in relation to my wardrobe, but it makes sense to think of them like this, too. I agree about #2 and #4 not working with silver. Your harsh with the bright colors, but it's true that they have a bit of a crayon vibe. I do agree about the dark brown and black being typical colors for men's watches... Not sure I would add the dark blue to that. Maybe, thinking of some of the posts with wristshots you see in mechanical watch forums (where most members are men). I know the green doesn't work for me. The cognac is a bit too warm too, the only "brown" I feel drawn to in the rest of my wardrobe is taupe. Going back and forth on the burgundy... I do think I'll order the dark blue. A men's watch strap for a men's watch.

I love the light blue. I think it pairs well with all the colors you mentioned. I also kind of like the royal blue, but I'm not sure that would work as well with your wardrobe. It's a pretty color though.

Looking at all the responses, it's a bit confusing! Too bad it's not a watch with exchangeable bands.

Thanks Aida and Staysfit! More love for the light blue... I ended up ordering the dark blue. I know it's going to be the most neutral pick after black and I think I'd prefer that for now. The black one I have is frayed and I don't like that, but I realised I don't particularly want to go for expensiv experiments right now either. But it was interesting to read all your votes.
