A fabric co-op I belong to is doing a buy on the ruffled fabric (pre-ruffled knit - no way would I do all those ruffles by hand), my only problem is trying to decide what color to get!

The colors they're ordering are:

I'm thinking it's more of a spring/summer type skirt, so I'm leaning against the black and I'm not really feeling the blush, so that leaves the ice blue, lavendar and smoke. I'm 99% sure that the original skirt is the lavender and it's gorgeous. I think the smoke is probably the most versatile, but this is a statement skirt and I don't know that it really needs to be versatile. I'm kind of drawn to the blue, but stumped as to what color(s) to pair with it.

So, after all that rambling - what do you girls think?

I'm all for the Ice Blue, but I'm biased because that's one of my favourite colors.

I'm going to vote smoke, because I love the grey version of this skirt in the Garnet Hill catalog. Sorry to complicate!

The lavender looks almost white? I think if the colors are too white, it's not doing the ruffles justice. I'd vote for Ice Blue or Smoke.. a little darker so the ruffles stand out more. I think you just pair with a simple white or cream top. Something solids in neutral should be fine.

I love the smoke, and I think it would cross over to fall very well, kind of like a storm cloud.

If you are leaning toward the ice blue, it could pair well with many colors: white, ivory, beige, navy, royal blue/purple, reds with blue tones, forest green, most shades of brown and gray / charcoal... you name it. The lavender seems a bit washed-out to me in comparison to the blue.

I like the blush one too, oops. The color goes well together with the texture if you're looking for the light, "fluttery" effect. Second preference is lavender, third - ice blue (it's darker, so the "feather-y" effect will be diminished, but the skirt would still be gorgeous imo). The black and the grey do not look very summery to me, plus black looks like there's too much going on.

Thanks girls! I'm still having a hard time deciding, although I think I've narrowed it down to the smoke or the ice blue. ( I do think the blush is pretty and it would make a beautiful skirt it's just not a color I *do* for me.)
