I am just going through all my loot
Have opinions on several which I will share
But first which ones ?
Sam Edelman or Paul Green loafers
Only can keep one
Obviously one is less spendy than the other .
And yes red Rebecca Minkoffs in the background
Are a definite! Love them !

ETA: sadly I decided to send them both back
I LOVE the studs on the SE’s and actually enjoy the juxtaposition of the studs and the more delicate shape. It a a really pretty shoe. Very soft leather . Unfortunately I fear a bit too flat and unsupportive for my tricky back.
The PG’s are more supportive but the patent leather is stiff and rubbed a bit on my heel .
I did really like the slight lift they gave me but the studs a are really subtle . Not much of a feature on them all.

All that said.. i may still try the PG in the wine leather . Maybe softer ?

Sorry to say, if I had to choose, I like the Paul Greens better...but! If you like them both and they're both equally comfortable, why not save some $$?

Which is more comfortable? Will you have need for a shoe with a good grippy sole? If yes, then PG would have an advantage. Both shoes look good, if you cannot decide maybe wait a couple of days and re-think the issue.

I prefer the SE’s. They look fresher, newer, and I KNOW they are more comfy.

But can’t go wrong either way.

I surprised myself, since I am a big fan of studs, but I still prefer the look of the Paul Greens. But both are great, and without the side-by-side comparison, I would have chosen the SEs.

I’m partial to the Paul Greens, but I think it’s really a personal preference call, since they both look good. If you like them equally, I’d be inclined to save the extra $$ for another purchase, but really I think both are nice.

I prefer the Paul Greens. I like them better on your foot. I wish SE had balanced all that hardware on top with a thicker sole, rather than the delicate sole they used. It looks mismatched to my eye. JMHO.

PG - looks more balanced to my eye... But if the other pair is comfortable you will save some $$

I'm surprised that the SEs are more comfortable than the PGs. Like others, I vote for putting comfort first. From a visual perspective, I like the PGs better.

I’m with Angie - the Sam Edelmans. They are more edgy and refined at the same time to me.

Ya know, it’s funny because I love a studded detail, but my eye has shifted and I prefer a little less studding these days, while I also am really feeling the lug sole — I’ve found them very comfortable for long days on my feet, and I like the substantial look and slight lift in height and leg lengthening effect they give.

Will be curious to see what you choose!

This is tough for me, because I really love a lug sole, so I am biased in its favor. I think I'd go that route unless studding was the whole point of the pick. In that case, you may find the studs on the PGs too subtle. You really can't go wrong either way, it just depends on your priority. FWIW, I think the SE are more trendy.
