help me look for wedding shoes!

So you guys all know how much I hate shopping for dress shoes, right? Even the thought of it makes my fussy feet hurt.

But I am getting married in May and obviously I need shoes to go with my dress (see photo below). I need something around 2-3" high (the shoes I am wearing in the photo are 2.5" and the dress is just perfect with that height, plus i can't really walk in higher). I would prefer metallic (silver or gold, not sure yet) rather than white. Must be real leather for comfort reasons. Another option is plum, which is one of my wedding colors and my bridesmaids will be wearing it. I adore plum shoes but it's not a terribly easy color to find.

The big thing is that my feet are SUPER FUSSY. I have narrow heels and a bunion on one foot, plus if something can rub or bruise it will. I think I want sandals because those are generally better for me (closed toe pumps crush my toes and rub something awful), and I need something, either a slingback or ankle strap, to keep them on my feet.

These are my default option right now. I own them in black and they are reasonably comfy although they don't stay on my feet as securely as I would like. I will probably buy them nonetheless since they are not very expensive and can be worn for other things as well.

ETA: another question: I found the naturalizers in a bright silver as well (the color I linked to is either pewter, gold or pearl depending on the site... gah, I really can't tell). Which color?

I was just on DSW and found these.....First is poetic license... its a pump though. :-(...but super pretty and they got great reviews.
Second is Jelly pop
Both come in gold too.

Dstalksalot: Thanks for the suggestions! I'm not sure the poetic license ones will work for me (the closed toe looks like it is narrow) but I love their styles! I will take a closer look for sure.

Here is another photo of something I like (and is very different from the first pair) to give you guys some ideas. These are Fluevog pearl harts, but unfortunately the lilac color is no longer being made. None of the currently available colors will work for me. I am keeping an eye on ebay though.

ETA: another pair of purple fluevogs. These are also not available in my size, boo. Also, I think the toe might be uncomfortable.

Rita, you do have a point! I think I am going to go ahead and order the naturalizers (the first pair I posted) just to have them as a fallback. Don't want the color to sell out.

ETA: Guess i should add though that I have a horrible track record of being able to tell if dress shoes are going to be comfortable. They seem OK at first and then I am limping by the end of the night. This is particularly true of closed toe pumps which is why I am shying away from them.
I am pretty good at being able to tell if things like boots will be comfy, so I think it's just a matter of not having enough experience.

The benefit of the naturalizers is that I already have a pair, so as long as they haven't changed the fit, I should be OK.

I would be wary of a slingback that is not adjustable like the naturalizer Prissy. My heels always slide out.

If your feet are fussy, I'm not sure something so strappy is a good idea - unless they're only for the ceremony and you'll have something else for the reception etc. Have you worn the ones you have for hours at a time?

Eta: girl x, I'd like to keep below $200 if possible... I only paid 250 for the dress and it seems weird to have the shoes be more!

Just a thought - you should check that your long dress doesn't get caught when you walk with a sling-back strap. This always happens to me. The cloth of long pants or dresses slips between my heel and the shoe. Drives me nuts.

I think brides in their gown look more elegant in a closed toe. I don't like the look of pig trotters (toes) peaking out from under the gown. Just my 2 cents worth!

I think you should definitely wear something comfortable, so if sandals are better than pumps I'd wear those! I like your fall back option, assuming there's no issue with getting stuck. I also like that first pair of Fluevogs very much, both for you and for the dress. Too bad they're not available anymore.

I think the Naturalizer shoes look very nice, as long as they don't grab the fabric of your dress, good point from Rachy.

You look lovely in your dress. I also agree that comfort is key on the wedding day. I recall I had two pairs with me so I could switch part way through the night, which helped with some pressure points. I am so glad you ordered the sandals. You have something in hand which you know will work. And you can continue to look. I will keep my eye open as well. I think you will start to see many options starting to come into stores in the next few weeks.

I'm no help when it comes to dressy shoes but the dress, omg, the dress is stunning on you. You are going to be one gorgeous bride! You *almost* make me want to re-do my wedding--haha. Just joking. That will never happen

Glory, I like the idea of having 2 pairs of shoes. Maybe some strappy heeled sandals like the Naturalizers and then something with a chunky heel and an ankle strap if the first pair starts to hurt? I can't wear most ballet flats unfortunately. Also not sure I can really do flat with this dress.
ETA: Plus I could wear the second pair for my rehearsal dinner too.

If you go for sling-backs make sure you try walking around in them with the dress on; I've found the fabric from a long dress can get caught in the strap.
