Help me find tall black boots (ridiculously specific request)

So last year I got rid of my old black riding boots which were not very comfortable, and I have not yet found suitable replacements. I have an idea in my head about what I want but I'm not sure it exists.

So here is what I am looking for: tall black boots, real leather, 15" shaft (a little higher is OK, shorter is not), 15" calf, no buckles or laces, 1-2" heel, roomy toe box but narrow/medium heels. And here's the kicker: I want exposed GOLD zippers. Double zippers would be even cooler. Does this even exist? I warned you this would be ridiculously specific.

Oh, and I would prefer to pay <$200.

Basically, I want this jacket in boot form.

What size are your feet? I have a pair of vintage boots just that description that I was planning to sell off. They have a slightly squared toe. The heel may be higher though.

Anna, those are perfect. I was afraid this would happen... I have a feeling that this style is only going to be found well outside of my price range.

Am going to try to brave searching on Yoox. Where is IK the Yoox guru when you need her?

I haven't seen very many boots this season that don't have extra buckles and doo-dads. Also; real leather for <$200? I had to pony up $180 for my pair - no zippers, brown, but no extra doo-dads.

i hate it when you know what you want, can see it, but cannot find it (or find it at the right price).

are you willing to wait a year, if jimmy choo has it now, it maybe "borrowed" by another brand next year.

Those Indigo by Clarks seemed nice to me. If you can't find what you want, why not consider an affordable pair that has everything else you want and have the shoe repair replace the zipper with a gold tone one? Or even add a second.

Here's what I asked for from DH for Christmas, Unfortunately the exposed zipper is silver though. They have a small buckle at the top, but I tired them on and it's very nice, and makes the shaft look slim and chic right up the leg. They're faux though...but the right price.

Actually I think the shoe (bottom) part is real leather, the shaft is faux.

I'm not going to be any help at all (apart from some duh advice that you should try and hit the meta sites like polyvore, shopstyle, shopbop etc and do keyword searches). But I do want to just say that I love so much that you want what you want and it's so damn specific! That is awesome. Don't sell yourself short, and maybe consider paying slightly more if you do find something that's perfect.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I will check some of them out. I have a feeling that the gold zipper thing is still a bit fringe (I think in general people prefer silver) so a lot of options are quite pricey, but maybe as kkards says, the trend will trickle down to the mainstream. The $200 budget is just a guideline, I'd be willing to go a bit higher for the perfect boot (but sadly the Jimmy Choos are still well out of the budget).

Lyn, I agree. Most of the boots I've seen have some sort of buckles this season. Even the riding boots all seem to have ankle buckles or straps around the top. Which is fine but I already have tons of boots with those things.

I am not going to settle. The truth is that I don't really *need* these boots; I've not had plain tall black boots for a year now and do not have trouble getting dressed. So, gold zippers or nothing! Things like shaft circumference and heel height are not negotiable in any case.

Rae, those are cool! In the photo though it looks like the black has silver zippers and the brown has gold? Wonder if my local Loft store has these to look at...

Oh, poo, I found them by searching for gold zippers! Humbug. I wonder if there is some treatment that will turn silver hardware gold... then you might have more options for fit and comfort.

That last pair you linked is really neat looking Diana! I can see those working with your style more than the zipper ones, actually. The rivets feel a bit Victorian.

Yeah, the last pair is so different, like apples and oranges, so I can't advise....I really do like the Tango boots as well, though. I would contact Bed Stu to see if there are any plans to restock them.

Argh, so I can't tell from any of the online photos whether or not the studs on the Bed:Stu Bullet boots (the last ones I posted) are gold or silver. Have sent an email to inquire. I did find them for a very good price elsewhere, although it would require that I pay for shipping and returns.

Nancy, those are pretty! Unfortunately, I did a little digging and it seems like the shaft height was listed as 18" on zappos (who no longer carry this pair) which is even taller than those ridiculously tall Chocolat Blu boots.

Oof, that would not be good. They did look tall. However, seeing as the zip doesn't go all the way to the top, do you think this may be a good candidate for bringing to an expert cobbler for shortening? I have no experience with this myself. Just a thought.

Ideally I'd want them to be 16"; that seems like a lot to chop off. Plus I think the zipper comes higher than that.
