I'm always on the look out for boots and booties with a 3/4" to 1" hidden platform, a thick 3" to 3 1/2" heel, and a round or almond toe. To me, they're the perfect compromise between comfort and style, and the only kind of high heel I can wear for a long day on my feet. They are surprisingly hard to find, and those I do find are $300 and up. Is that proof of my good taste or proof that these kinds of shoes are difficult to construct? Actually it's probably the latter, since most of them have a huge sloppy seam up the center of the toe or obvious wrinkled gathers above the sole where the leather was tucked over the platform. Bonus points for finding some without those problems I've been needing to expand my wardrobe of walkable heels. Here's an example I've posted a 100 times for different reasons, but they're my fave comfy boot: http://fashiontribes.typepad.c.....heele.html
