I bought last year's version of the ones Suzanimal posted (find #1) and really like them. They look like trousers, complete with welt back pockets but are a nice dark wash denim. I modeled them in #1 and #2 of this thread (I can't find photo on my computer).

I am mightily tempted by find #2, but don't really need a new par of dark wash trouser jeans. I'm between lengths and they would be hard to alter. Still, the side leg buttons are hard to resist.

I wanted those side button trousers so bad but I passed on them because they were too long and like you, didn't feel like altering them.

Suzanimal and Karen, the side button pair is very nice too, but I wouldn’t want to alter them either actually, it would be a bit of a hassle...

They look great on you! Good for casual wear. Now you can keep looking for your dressier version.
