Help me find a new holiday scarf

My holiday scarf is several years old and is beginning to feel "old lady" to me. I want a new one. Suggestions???
The one I am retiring is below in Finds. I like many things about it like the white background and that the pattern includes both bright and dark burgundy reds. This one is silk, but I am open to other fabrications.

Boy, that’s kinda tough. I like it and I don’t like the results my ‘Christmas Scarf’ search returned, lol. How about tying it a different way?

I am really tempted by this scarf which is by Kate Spade and currently on sale at Nordstrom. I love the poppies (and have a denim skirt to match)!

I don’t have an example, but I might try to do either / or— Christmas colors in a non- holiday motif—a plaid or an abstract- or a winter/ nature design in non- traditional colors ( either an accent like citron, or white/ creams, wintry blues), or maybe something graphic or abstract. Think art.
Trying to get at some kind of “ juxtaposition” that does not look like the predictable “ holiday scarf” or “ holiday sweater”.

I know exactly what you mean by a scarf looking "old lady" even though it's a perfectly lovely scarf. I have one myself I would suggest browsing online or at stores that tend toward trendy styles to get some ideas. Nordstrom and loft for example but not Talbots's. And go for red or green combinations but not obvious holiday motifs like poinsettias or candy canes. That Kate spade one bijou posted is a good example and I agree with unfrumped's ideas.

Lately, I start for accessory-type things at Etsy. "Red silk scarf" generated a ton of both new handmade and vintage options. This one is only $12 and feels a bit more modern to my eye. Also a bit bluer of a red, not sure how important that crimson/scarlet range is for you.

Rachylou, thank you for your thoughts. I will try some new ways of wearing the scarf. Maybe muffler style.
Bijou, that scarf is tempting, although not quite what I had pictured. I may need to rethink this.
Unfrumped and Chris987, I like your thoughts of art or plaid. I want the scarf to say "holiday" when worn with neutrals. I have plain red, a white crochet that looks snowy and a black velvet burn-out. I went through all of Nordstroms current offerings on-line and will try the Loft.

Rambling Ann, that is just what I want. It looks like there may be a variety of reds in that scarf, or maybe they would make a similar one in tomato red. Thank you.

Joy I am crazy about poinsettias! I don't wear scarves, and Christmas is in summer here anyway, but if I did and owned your scarf I would never give it up. I do understand ringing the changes though, but hope you would keep it for when it may feel fresh again?
In 1997 I bought a top and skirt covered in poinsettias. They're still here stashed in a back cupboard! And the poinsettia Christmas tablecloth I bought the same year still comes out. That has worn like iron.

Fashiontern, looking at my comforter today, I decided that my ideal scarf would be a red and olive paisley, maybe with some burgundy. The National Gallery scarf comes close. ( I like non-traditional red/green combinations)

Jenni, 10 sounds like too many, but I am thinking of a possibility of 3...silk for dressy, cotton or a knit for casual, and a wooly knit for wearing with a coat.
Sterling, I like the one Bijou chose very much, but it is not holiday enough for me. I like the one Rambling Ann posted but did not get a chance to place an order yet. I also want to order the one fashiontern posted and the malachite pattern that annagybe found. The Kate Spade that Angie mentions is, sadly. sold out. I found a couple on the Nordstrom site to try. (See finds below). The first would be for a coat. The silver metallic could add some bling with silver metallic bag or shoes. I am thinking of wearing it more like a scarf than a wrap, so it may not work.

I pulled out my winter scarves today in expectation of cooler weather ( it was 81F yesterday...warmer than Cancun, Mexico or Austin, Texas, or Miami). I found a scarf( see below) that I'd bought to wear with a bright pink coat. It has a lot of red and green. Does it look holiday to you for a scarf with a neutral coat?

The bp plaid infinity scarf arrived today and I think it is a keeper. No chance to play with it yet but, as MsMary says, the red and green are Christmasy and distinct.
Jenni, I may end up with 10 scarves yet if I count and keep the silvery one and add in the black velvet one I have as well as a snowy white and plain cherry red plus a plain tomato red!
