Help me find a good "earthy casual dress" a la Angie's blog post

I LOVE the black sleeveless jersey dress looks Angie posted about today:

Years ago I wore this look all the time, so I was so happy to see Angie singing its praises. Now I'm madly on the hunt for the perfect black sleeveless jersey dress.....but I'm super picky! I'm not a fan of spaghetti straps, A-line shapes, or any dress that requires special bras. I'm considering this Karen Kane high-low maxi, but I'm not sure if I want one that's so long:

When I received my most recent JJill order, there was a mini catalogue in the box. There was a casual tank dress in linen featured and it was on sale for $59. I think it came in a soft yellow, deep lavender, black, and white. I was thinking about ordering one. I will check when I get home and see if I can find it. I think it would work well for this look and be great for really hot days.

I'm kind of liking the non-skinny straps and imagining that it might still be wear-able with a regular bra.

eta: haven't ordered it yet, so can't say anything about how well it fits or the quality etc.
