Help me decide... wideleg pants

Curious to know everyone's thoughts on the pieces below in Finds.
It all started when I had a hankering for soft, warm, and flowy wideleg pants to wear at home for lounging. On a whim I searched Amazon--which these days is such a treasure trove of random and weird items and sources--and found quite a few interesting-looking pants. So interesting that in fact I would consider wearing some of them out of the house as well.

I'm still hesitant though. Some of them might verge on cheesy, and also it seems like a shot in the dark to order them given that there are no reviews and it looks like the sellers are based in China so the brands are an unknown quantity.

I could use some feedback on any and all aspects you might think of... do these look good? What for? Is it risky to bet on these unknown sellers? Etc...

PS. Uniqlo had a couple of similar pants that I was going to order but they are all sold out.

ok...i'll be honest, i have issues with a lot of things amazon does that seem not quite legal and/or morally on the line....you might be interested in this before you order.

I'm a huge Amazon customer, and live in Seattle - Amazon Headquarters. Amazon is taking over the retail market - but not the fashion retail market - (its taking over Seattle though). It's a very savvy company, and they probably have enough of their ducks in a row.

kkards, wow, that's a scary article! Especially since it's so difficult to know sometimes if things are counterfeit.

I know what you mean about the ethical issues. I've followed the news articles on labor conditions for a few years... I haven't been able to cut off Amazon though. The rise of online shopping means that lots of things that used to be easily available at brick-and-mortar stores are not there anymore; plus I have a somewhat complicated life with little free time and no local support network. Morally I understand; in practice I haven't been able to get there yet...

Angie, thanks! #1 and #4 are also definitely my favorites. #2 and #3 look cozy to lounge at home; I probably wouldn't wear them outside the house... After reading kkards's linked article I'm going to look for similar styles elsewhere before ordering from Amazon... They are hit or miss on fashion (but shoes are another story--thanks to Zappos I'm sure...)

I like the black ones with the pockets and the grey striped ones. The two with the drawstrings read as exclusively loungewear to me. Like others have said, there may be a better resource than Amazon.

I like #1 and #4. I would also check out ebay for Eileen Fisher. You might also try Etsy. I have been looking at having some things made by someone in the US. Not that expensive. You pick the fabric and give your measurements.

I like #1 and #3 - though #3 is a more tailored look if that is what you want.

My own issue with Amazon is when the item is sold by a third party, DH and I have had several experiences where the item supposedly shipped, but we never got it, or it was not as illustrated if it did show up. So with Amazon clothes, I would stick to familiar brands that Amazon sells themselves.

Uniqlo has some wide legs now; I've just ordered their chino version and am awaiting arrival.

KM I wasn't clear from your post if this is a silhouette that you want to experiment with or if you know that you like it and want some nicer options. If the former JCP's has these that could work as loungewear and a way to try the style.

Stylefan, Etsy is a great idea! I also have a lovely seamstress who tailors my clothes perfectly where I live, though I imagine based on the prices she charges that it would be expensive to have something made from scratch. I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask her! More and more I love pants #1 and I haven't seen anything quite like it. They also don't look supercomplicated, though I don't sew, so what do I know...

binkle, yes, it's the third parties on Amazon that complicate things. I never had a terrible experience but I can see from reviews that it could happen. I checked reviews for the same seller (other items) and many reviewers complain of the quality or of having been sent the wrong item. I'll check out the new pants at Uniqlo! They had a cool high-waisted pair of wool pants that sat in my shopping cart but it sold out before I made my mind up. Serves me right... I wanted a wintry fabric!

Lynn--yes, the article posted by kkards definitely gave me pause. And now I can't bring myself to order those pants from Amazon! I do love the silhouette of widelegs; the ones you linked from JCP are right up my alley. I already have three pairs in a similar fabric (thinner, slinkier) and I live in them in the summer. But I wanted warmer options for winter... I might still keep the ones you suggested in mind since I love them so much for hotter weather.
