I need new shoes for fall/winter. Per work rules, they have to be closed toe, but I really am sick of flats and want something with a heel that I walk in for hours. I've got my eye on some of the shoes Angie put into the store, but then these caught my eye...I'm kinda loving the look of a ribbon'd mary jane. Question is, which one?

To my eye, this is a bit more classic and demure, which is always good:

I'm leaning towards the Jellypop pair, but would it be versatile in the grey color? I'm picturing it with tights and skirts/dresses this winter...or under jeans.

If you like them I think your personalities match!:-) I would also select the second pair as more interesting and palyful if you are bored with your sensible shoes. Grey is a neutral so it should go with most of cool colors and also some warm colors as well. Also heel is sturdier so it should be a better walking shoe for you.

jellypop! so fun. i think you can carry off fun, even if the rest of your outfit says "serious professional woman."

ps: how much walking do you intend to do in these shoes? without having tried them, they look like 1-milers for the commute, but perhaps not much more than that? do you walk a lot for work?

bj: I don't commute on foot, but I'm on my feet for the majority of my often 10+ hour days. Its a lot of standing and walking, with some stairs/ladders thrown in for good measure...I have been able to pull off 3" heels in the past, but this whole summer has been spent in flats and wedges, so I'll definitely have to try them on and put them through their paces first...

I think they completely look like you! Still professional but with a fun edge. And the lines remain classic and demure but with more interesting details than the first pair:)

Hope you can find them! Even if they dont make it to work, they'd be a great addition to your shoe wardrobe! So cute....love the grey.....

Both are cute, but I agree that the second pair has more zing. BTW, Naturalizer has a similar silhouette, with the two-tone and the ribbon tie and everything, in their most recent catalog.
