Help me choose, please.

I'm getting ready to place my Nordie's order and would love your opinion on these two jackets. I'm looking for a non-blazer jacket that could be worn for all but the coldest and wettest days of the year as a topper for dresses and jeans. Do you agree they could both be worn pretty much year round in California? Do you have a preference based on what you have seen of my style? Which will have more closet longevity? Or should I just get both? Lol! Thanks in advance!

ETA: I've tried the green moto and I know it will fit. I'm unsure about the bomber--I haven't had great luck with that style but am willing to give it another try.

I love the green moto! But then I'm not a fan of bomber jackets, so take this with a grain of salt.

They kinda have different vibes and could function in different capsules, but if you are gonna choose one I'd go with the moto.

I really love the green for you. Both in style and color. The other is nice too but I know what you mean about the bomber jackets. I thought for sure I wanted one too, but haven't found the right one yet.

I like both but when looking at your style, I think you'd probably get more wear out of the green. Plus it sounds like you're kind of on the fence regarding bomber style in general so wonder if you'd actually wear it if you got it. Longevity wise, I think the green moto wins.

I picked the green one before looking at your paper doll photos. Then I favored the black and white one slightly better "on" you. I like the way it seems to light up your face, the dark sleeves echoing your hair. It might be more versatile.

I do love the green and the moto style on you, too, though. You could certainly get both; I imagine you'd get a lot of wear out of both of them.

Another vote for the bomber is that it's the newer style, so maybe more longevity? But motos never really go out of style, do they? Okay, never mind that line of reasoning. . . .

Thanks! I keep going back and forth on the jackets. I should just order them because fit is likely to be a major factor. I love the bomber on Jenava and Thistle--that’s the main reason it caught my fancy. I’m just not sure how versatile it would be for me and there’s also that wide expanse of optic white that could potentially make me look like a giant wall. One thing I did notice is the length--the same as the Bellatrix Hummingbird print jacket which I felt was too long on me for what I wanted to wear it with. I’m also second guessing myself on the size of the green moto. I thought the green in small was a little snug but from what I’’ve learned from all the Danier posts is that an inside leather jacket should fit snugly so I’m thinking about ordering a small instead of the looser fit medium.

@Shannon: Thank you. I liked the other bombers that I tried but the length and volume seemed off to me--at least with shorts and dresses. It looked like a perfect length on Jenava and Thistle but I keep forgetting that almost everyone around here is taller than me!

@Glory: Thanks. Yes, I think that’s the way to go since I keep going back and forth. I have a feeling once I have them side by side in person, I will know which is the keeper.

@bj1111: Thanks! I really like the bold graphic of the bomber too. I'm just not sure how well it will play in my closet. I'm SO not a bold graphic kind of dresser--I think I like too many colors and prints!

Great jackets! You could easily integrate both into your wardrobe, Kelly. I like the green for color, and the b/w for up to the minute shape. Nordies has such a good return policy, I'd encourage you to order both and try them out in the closet.

It's hard for me to pick for you instead of for me lol. I would do the bomber in a second, but I think you should order both and do a face-off.

I like the color of the black and white one, because that feels more season-less to me, but I like the style and fabrication of the moto. Tough call!

I would go for the bomber. This is a sign that you should go for the moto. Hehe. I think the moto has wider prospects tho, able to go both casual and formal. You can do California formal with the bomber, but you may want a little more structure than that sometimes.

Ok, I think both work year round for CA. My vote would be the B&W, cause I love B&W and the bomber would look good on you.

My initial reaction was the same as Firecracker's! I looove that color green, but in your cut and paste pictures found myself liking the bomber on you better. Maybe you'll just KNOW once you actually try them both on.

Hi Kelly, sorry I couldn't answer earlier when you asked on my thread.
I've really enjoyed my blue leather moto, and find that I wear it at least as often as my black one. So no, I don't feel limited by the color or get tired of it.
I wear a lot of neutrals, and a pop of color works well with them.

So, I vote GREEN!
Except that I really like the bomber for you, too. Any chance you could get both? It really is comparing apples and oranges to choose between the two.
I would order both and then see how they go with your wardrobe.
