Help me choose black booties

I'm drooling over the Rag & Bone Newbury booties. Little over my budget. I'm trying to decide if I should bite the bullet or try one of the others that look pretty good too.

A couple of very promising knock offs:

1) Vince Camuto Hadley

Look just like the Rag & Bones!

2) Cole Haan Cassidy

The good part about the Cole Haans is that they come in wide sizes and I KNOW they are good for my feet. Also a tiny bit lower than the R&B, could make them more practical.

All of these options are good. For me, it would be between the Cole Haan and the Rag & Bones. The Cole Haan are very smart looking and you know that brand works for your feet. That's a HUGE plus point IMO.

But I can tell by your post that your heart belongs to the Rag & Bone Newbury's. Is there a store where you can try them on? I would say if they fit and are comfortable, then I would save your pennies for the real thing as they seem to make your heart flutter. If they aren't comfy, then go with the Cole Haan.

They were high. But comfortable. The lower heel on the CH's could be more practical.

I'll be honest, from the size of the thumbnails (which is about how people will see them on your feet from standing height) they all look pretty much the same. I'd go for the most comfortable and/or best bargain.

Wow...this is a tough call. I think you should try on the Cole Haan's too (if you haven't already) and then make the decision.

I like the cole haan's but the brown heel gives me pause.

But Mo's right, from other people's perspective, they're going to look the same.

But shoes are also about how YOU feel....I'd try them all on, close my eyes, and choose the one that makes me feel fab! If it's the R & B, so be it!

Try on the Cole Haan's and compare to the Rag and Bone. Maybe even try them on together if you can (not sure that's possible.)

I actually like the VCs as an alternative to the R&Bs because they are so totally similar! I would try them on.

You've fallen so deeply in love with the R&Bs, I find it hard to be convinced you should compromise.

Ummm.. I'll never thought I'll say this but those VC are pretty darn close and they make a good shoe.

I vote either the original R&B or the VC's for a more affordable alternative.

I vote CH. You know the shoes work for you, the heel is slightly lower/more practical, CH makes a high-quality shoe, and they are less expensive than the R&B.

It would depend on how you like each of them on. I have lusted over those Rag & Bone boots forever (since the below shot of Isla Fisher) and have tried to find the same look in a cheaper version (because there is no way I will ever purchase these at that price - just not in my budget comfort zone), but it always comes down to the shaft height and circumference which I can't seem to find on all of these to compare (but I did last year and there was more gap on all the copies so the look was totally different.) Sorry I'm not helping.

From the pictures I actually like the Cole Haan's best. And if the heel height is more practical and you know they work for you... I wouldn't pay that much money for the R&B's.

...And I'm not opposed to the Cole Haans. It is just that the side zipper ( As opposed to back zipper) gives the boot another vibe, IMO. I'm a big fan of back zippers.

Cole Haan's for looks, price and comfort.

The Vince Camuto's, hands down. They're a dead ringer. The Cole Haan's are an entirely different look.

Having seen the RBs on you, I love those best. Next I prefer the VCs. I don't think the Cole Haans are as accurate in look. But I'm voting RB because I know that's where your heart is.

I have to think the fit and comfort should take top priority.

If they are all equal there, then I'd be hard pressed to choose between VC and RB. Those two appear to be the most identical in shaft, heel, toe, opening, etc.

I'd think long and hard before committing $500 vs $160, but I know *I* can be very fickle, almost as much as I can keep things around for 5+ years and still enjoy wearing them. I don't know when buying which way this item wil go. . .

You're in the DC area, right? So you won't be wearing booties for a while. I say order the Rag & Bone and wear them around the house a bit. For me the half inch difference between the R&B and the CH would make the difference between 12 hour shoes and an expensive regret.

The Cole Haans just look completely different to me, whereas the VCs are very similar (although very honestly still not quite as gorgeous). It really depends in the end what you will feel most happy with. When I fall in love with something I am very specific about it and will always see the differences to similar items. It depends on how much you loved specifically the original and whether it's an issue of guilt/rationalization or hard cold budget. So to me the Cole Haans are a different beast, but if you will wear them more because they are the most comfortable and would feel joyful wearing them, then they would still be a good choice for you. I still think the R&Bs are some of the most beautiful boots I have seen in ages, but because of the high heel, for me right now--achey, creaky, and about to be toting a baby around--I know it wouldn't be a smart purchase. I have recently fixated on a pair of Acne-pistol-inspired boots with a sensible heel that are half the price and a brand I have good experience with. I am just holding out to be sure my feet don't change, but I think I must be about in the clear by now...

I would go for the VCs since they look the same as the ones you love. And they seem like a bargain in comparison.
