Help me choose a tote colour

I'd like to add one of these two Fjallraven totes for Fall/Winter.

I love both colours so I'm having difficulty choosing. Last year I fell in love with burgundy for the FW season and this year I'm really enjoying adding olive.

My fall coats are olive or navy (very short season). My winter coats (very long season) are grey, dark blue or white. I'm also thinking of adding a black wool coat. My most worn footwear is black, brown or cognac. I wear mostly cool colours.

My husband votes for olive. DD votes for burgundy.

I think the burgundy would match the best with the most jackets/coats (burgundy looks better with grey navy and white than olive, IMO).

These are both great colours though. And I love these bags! Very tempting.

I would choose a dressier bag for a black wool coat.

I like both colors for those colors of coats. Do you have a scarf? Hat and gloves? in one of the colors? Which would go best with your footwear?

The burgundy one would look great with all your coat colours. Besides, burgundy is a cool colour, whereas olive is warm.

The Cat is right about cool versus warm. I don't usually gravitate to warm colors, but I really like olive.

Sterling, I understand that you like olive. I like it too. But in this case, we are not choosing a colour for ourselves Rather, we are trying to help kerry choose the best tote colour for HER.

I can't decide! I keep flip flopping! I think the bag makes more sense in olive ... and I feel olive is 'in.' But burgundy would be a nice little zippy contrast for your blues, greys and whites...

I feel that in general burgundy and olive are both warm colours. What I like about the colour of these bags is they each feel a little bit cooler in tone.

I vote for burgundy.

I will say, though, I think that the bag in burgundy has a little more of a dressy feel while the olive one feels a little more casual to me. So depending on your style, maybe one would be a better fit than the other.

Thanks for your help in choosing. I went back to the store where I first saw this bag. They had hardly any left! On the first visit I only saw the dark garnet (burgundy) and loved it but it was in the larger style (totepack 2 - too big for me). As I was researching reviews online I came across what I thought was the olive one (and collected the find from Nordstrom). At the store today I saw one in green (decidedly not olive) and just thought it was another colour. Further research leads me to believe that there is NO olive colour, and that it's the green I'm seeing online - some retailers websites make it seem more olive.

So ... I've decided on the dark garnet. Problem is I can't find it anywhere in Canada except Amazon where it's $20 more! Ugh!
