I'd really like to add a pair of summer shoes (not sandals) in a light neutral and these hold a lot of promise (replacing a very similar pair of unstructured oxfords that were a bright mustard-y yellow-green). But I'm totally torn as to colour. I've narrowed it down to blush, pale taupe, or a very soft grey -- see photos below.
Criteria: I have no bag wardrobe to speak of (one black leather crossbody, an olive green nylon messenger bag, and a turquoise nylon tote), and don't wear belts, so matchiness is not a factor. I have dark hair so these are not bookending shoes. My skin is pale, pretty neutral, neither extremely warm or cool. My summer wardrobe has a good amount of black, olive, sage, plus denim, chambray, white, navy, grey, and a smattering of red. I have two summer hats, one blush and one that reverses from off-white to sand.
So, any preference for a particular colour? I find all three equally appealing, and can be cripplingly pragmatic about shoe colour choices. I went through the same thing with boots last fall, and the collective wisdom of YLF guided me to a pair with an incredibly high joy factor, so here we go again.
