I recently had unexpected foot surgery and have to wear the typical heavy, very wide black boot that goes almost up to my knee for a couple of months. I know that others here have navigated similar inconvenience, so I thought I'd ask what works for a pants wearer in a colder early spring climate. I have one pair of boot cut denim jeans that I can wear over the boot. Does it work to wear skinnies or straight legs under it? I have some straights that probably have enough fluidity to allow them to be bunched/rolled above the boot, but I fear the result. Since I am non-weight bearing for 4 more weeks and remain uncomfortable enough to find most closet experimentation a non-starter, all words of wisdom are appreciated. I am lounging in my wide leg casual pants now, but look forward to getting out later. Thanks for any and all suggestions.
