HELP! Get smoke smell out of leather...home remedies?

I bought a vintage Brooks leathers moto jacket on ebay, perfect fit, impeccable condition EXCEPT for the smell of cigarette smoke. Yuck! Any good home remedies before I shell out $50 to get it cleaned? Thanks!

Did the listing mention the smell? If not, and you don't want to spend the money, you probably could get your money back.

I bought a used leather jacket that smelled of smoke and tried everything (airing out in the garage, rubbing with dryer sheets, and I don 't remember what else) Then I had it cleaned professionally, and that worked. Sorry. Yes, it was about $50.

I don't mind spending the money to get it cleaned, but a home remedy would be great. I bought the coat a couple a months back for dead cheap and it's perfect, so I will probably just have it cleaned professionally.

you need to be careful with home remedies on leather as it could really dry out the oils in the leather. You might try the cleaning wipes in the automotive section designed to clean leather seats in cars - or give it a good go over with saddle soap - unless of course it's suede - then all these suggestions are for naught!! - good luck!!

Other than just airing it out outdoors, I'd just bite the bullet and get it cleaned...
