I bought this puffer from Macy's this winter and was initially thrilled with it. The fit was great, I loved the color, and it was very warm. However, as the months have worn on, the jacket has exhibited many signs of poor workmanship. I had big holes in the pockets after just a couple of weeks of wear, and one of the pockets started separating from the lining. I had that fixed by a seamstress.

The biggest problem, however, has been the seams in the lining of the coat. They are not well done, and LOTS of feathers are coming through. I swear, sometimes I look like I came out of a barn, especially if I am wearing a lighter-colored top. I don't know much about sewing, but it looks as if the lining material is not strong enough to hold the seams. I had one large hole open up in an armpit seam (a two-inch-long rip), and I fixed that myself, but now the vertical seams where the lining is pieced together are showing wear, and it's feathers galore. I would call Macy's to see if I could return the coat, but this is my only winter coat, so I need it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do? Is there something that I could spray or paint over the seams to limit the number of feathers that come out?
