This dress caught my eye. It's a rework of a Jcrew dress from last season, has anyone seen it? I love the plum raisin color but the charcoal might be more versatile...I think it might be a great wintertime dress.

Oh I really like it, honestly though from the first link I thought it looked very short but the second link has my mind rested. I actually like the idea of plum raisin with your colouring.

thanks, everyone! the raisin it is. I'm hoping size 0 works...it's my usual size at J Crew but since this is not A-line, I'm not absolutely sure.

It's a lovely dress but I'm wary purchasing from JCrew factory- they get all the seconds etc that aren't able to be sold in the main stores because of flaws, returns etc.

They have just changed their return policy though (Factory was final sale only for awhile) so things can be returned via mail

Megan: thanks for the info on J Crew Factory. I'm still hopeful that this one was something that was *made* for the factory, as they seemed to have both colors in every size in stock. It was only $35 (I did use the discount code) so I'm willing to try it out. I'm looking forward to wearing this dress with a belt, boots, and a cardi.

That's a gorgeous dress! I think I may have to copycat you on this find! I want to get the grey though. Short sleeves in Maine though? Could I layer a black LS shirt under it? OP mentioned a cardi, but the ribbon neckline doesn't lend to wearing a cardi, does it?
