Help dress me for Christmas

Angie's post on holiday dressing is my normal FBO - I enjoy having a new outfit for x-mas each year - I have several casual house events and concerts I attend. This year I want to change it up and not do a sparkly sweater but more of a statement sweater.

A HEWI just came on sale a Nordstroms - The EF wax coated jeans - i have coveted them for over a year.

So if I were to get the jeans - and wanted to move away from my normal black or grey sparkly sweater - Which sweater would you go with below

The blue one appeals to me. The texture is interesting, the colour is lovely and it should work with your black pants and red accessories and shoes. I see it comes in several colours. Alaskagirl picked a jumper like this blue one on her post yesterday (Cookie monster sweater problem was the title), and I thought it looked nice too. The black and white design doesn't seem as modern somehow. I may be biased with the floral though.

I'm casting my vote for the floral. I like the white + black + pop of red theme.

I'd have to see the blue sweater and booties in person, because I'm wondering if the red is the "right" shade/tone for that shade of blue? A tomato red may work better? Or somewhat more muted/muddy shade of blue?

The jeans are awesome!

I prefer the floral with red and black.
I also think the floral "reads" a little more sophisticated in the eyelash yarn than do the bright colors, which look more casual/fuzzy--so depends on what you are going for,

The other reason I voted floral is because I already know you look amazing in the blue of the blue sweater (from your recent WIW). And so I felt like the floral might be more of a departure and therefore it might feel a bit more festive to you. I know for me, especially if I have to go casual to a holiday thing, sometimes what makes it feel "special" is just having it be a little different from my norm.

And yay to the Sweeties, too! You have great boot/ bootie taste!

Floral plus red booties all the way.

Funny, I was looking at my daughter wearing her red patent shoes today thinking how much I love red shoes. Glad I'm not alone

I like both sweaters, but agree that the floral plus the pop of colour on the booties would be perfect. This looks like a fab casual/festive outfit to me!!

Great jeans! I like the blue sweater very much but don't know if it would work with your red booties. It could actually work well; it'd be worth trying. Hmm...any chance you can use both sweaters in your wardrobe?
