Help! Bridal shower today and don't know what to wear

I'm not sure how I got to this point, but I am attending a bridal shower this afternoon and I haven't given any thought to what to wear!

I've pieced together a couple options and I'm at a loss to what is more appropriate for a shower. Everything is shown with black ponte pants and Vaneli wedge booties. I also have KUT brocade black skinnies as an option.

1) Tina Turk studded sweater with pendant (or I can remove the necklace)

2) Halogen sweater in Navy, one of Angie's picks with large pearl necklace

3) Tweed moto-ish blazer and chunky necklace

Would any of these work? Most of my wardrobe is business casual at the moment and I find it hard to dress for other events.

Thanks for your help! Hopefully one of these options is okay.

I like the third option best. I generally associate lighter colors with bridal and baby showers for some reason. Do you happen to have any items that aren't black or gray that are also appropriate for the weather?

The photos are a little dark but I liks 2 or 3, as Jewell noted I would be looking for something light or cheery , though doesn't have to be dressy per se. So if its chilly, but you have a creamy chunky sweater-- that sort of thing. Sometimes you just don't have the " perfect" thing and so you just go with great attitude!

I think I lack bright and cheery in my wardrobe. I'll have another look but I seem to wear a lot of dark colors.

Can't go wrong either way. All are fabulous looks. I like #1 best by a hair.

You used to wear the same brights as me, Marianna. What happened?

Angie, I don't know. I think my wardrobe is in a transitional state right now. I still love brights, but I don't own very many at the moment.

I am leaning towards 1 or 2... I feel a little too business-y in #3. A bright lip will help too.

#2! I think the dressy, chunky necklace adds some sparkle that says "party." You look great!

I vote #2 - the necklace is so fun. Otherwise, do you have a dress? I tend to associate bridal showers with dresses. If you have an office-quality sheath in any neutral, pop on that necklace with it, add a cardigan, and you are good to go.

I think the necklace in #2 puts it in the "most festive" category....adding a bright bag and lip will also make the outfit festive. Have fun!
