Help!! Blondie and X concert Monday night

Hi all. Dh and I are going to the Blondie/X concert on Monday night and wanted suggestions as to what to wear. We are also meeting up a group of new friends prior to the concert so want to look "cool" but don't want to look like I'm trying too hard. The show is general admission so that means we'll be standing on our feet. I'm thinking the Doc wedges but haven't worn them since Winter.

I'm planning to try some outfits on and will try to post some photos tomorrow some time. Anyway, suggestions are welcome. Photos are welcome too.

CocoLion - thanks for all the photos. I do like the 3d outfit although I may be a bit short to pull it off. 2nd one is good too although I may be too hot to war the jacket.

I'm thinking graphic tee plus rolled boyfriend jeans with some cool boots. I don't think you are too short for outfit #3 if there was a heel involved.

How about these. Some shorts ideas thrown in, given your weather is hot (mine is too, coasting in the mid-90s for another 5 days).

- Shorts with a boho blouse
- Shorts with white button down (the ultimate in "not trying too hard")
- layered shorts outfit w/ camo vest
- Oversized shirts and bf jeans and heels
- B&W skirt outfit idea, with vest

CityGirlDC, do you have one of the VC tube skirts? In black and white stripe? Or something similar? With denim jacket just in case, and some easy top? And the booties?

Blondie/ X means punk, so I'd grab something with an edge. Do you have anything with studs or spikes? The Docs will work, but I'd stay away from cutoffs. Boho seems like it would be out of place to me. New romantic, glam rock, or punk are the directions I'd lean.

Hopefully she plays longer than when I saw her. I saw her at an outdoor venue at a winery last year, and the set list was so short. She didn't even play all her hits. I was a bit disappointed.
The crowd wasn't dressed cool but that may have had more to do with the venue.

Marie - t and jeans are an easy go-to but i want to amp it up a bit.

qubrenda - graphtic t? I got dig around and see if I have something. I got rid a lot of t shirts I haven't worn. I def. have boyfriend jeans and booties (somewhere) that I can wear.

cocolion - no cut off shorts for me. I don't think I even own any.

Debra - You show me yours and I'll show you mine... Outfits of course. LOL!!

Suz- I don't own a tube skirt (afraid it will show my new curves). However I do have a denim jacket that I can work with. (At the hair salon today, one of the gals was wearing a black tube skirt and sleeveless denim jacket with low top black chucks. It was a great outfit and thought it would be perfect for the concert.)

AnnieMouse- No studs here but will possibly wear a lot of black. At least that's what I used to do back in the day.

annagybe - I saw her a few years ago at this same venue and she played pretty long. I'm actually looking forward to see X too.

Oh FUN! I've never seen Blondie, but I saw X at the last show they did at the old 9:30 Club. I even chatted with Exene for a little while. We have some mutual friends, so I hoped that at some point I would get to meet Viggo Mortensen, but that never happened. Ah well.

For rock shows I usually keep it really simple -- jeans, shoes or boots that are comfy for a lot of standing, dancing, etc., and lightweight top (maybe with a lightweight jacket, weather depending) because so many venues get hot and crowded. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
