Help - which booties?

Hi there, I found two booties I love at the mall - the leather styles on the left and right in the photo. Both comfy and reasonably priced. Which do you think will stand the test of time better stylewise? Or they are both pretty classic? Thx so much !!!

Lace-up boots seen more classic, while the ones on the left seem more modern classic to me. I don't think the sleek style is in danger of becoming dated any time soon. I think it's mostly a question of which aesthetic you enjoy more.

They strike me as two completely different boots. (one not substituting for the other at all). I think the lace-ups are definitely more casual, while the plain ones would be more versatile - albeit with a little less character.

Thx so much ... Going for the laceups as these are meant to be a casual shoe and I have booties with a heel that can do dress up. Really appreciate your help!!

Lace-ups are great. I LOVE mine. They really are versatile and I like using them to dress things down. Enjoy!

I could make a case for both of these! There are many varieties of black boots and I'm of the "never too many'" mentality.

Hmm, I would first go for the non lace ones, although I do have a lifelong love of lace up boots. If I were to have only one pair of black booties that is!

I'd go for the ones without laces as easier on/off and no worries about untied laces to trip on, but I like both pairs

Thx for the thoughts everyone ... I did go with the laces in the end as I have a plain black pair of booties already (with a heel, but I see them serving the same function.)

I am starting to get my head around the dress for your dominant season concept and therefore may get another pair of boots when budget allows rather than trying to find the one magic pairnthat works for everything
Joy, it doesn't show in the photo, but the laceups have a zip on the side!! No lacing for me

I understand thr statement "the magic boot that will serve all purposes".
. Think footwear is so dependent on weather and activity and weather and activities are so variable! Whereas you can wear the same t-shirt/top all year round if you want to (especially if you're in an air conditioned building, where there is not much difference in temp between summer/winter).

I am still quite hardcore wardrobe minimalist but I'm warming up to the idea of having a much larger shoe collection.

I just bought a pair of lace-ups, and I am really enjoying them because they afford an excellent fit, better than you could get with any slip-on. So I'm glad that you went with the lace-ups!
