I haven't been away for long but trying to keep up with the forum makes it feel much longer! I have had a hectic 2 weeks at work since coming back and have had to put in extra long hours along with working from home.
I just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone and a big fat welcome to some new faces I've seen pop up.
Our trip to CA was a total blast and I am not lying in the least when I say that it is one of the most beautiful states I have seen in the US so far, bar none (have not been to Washington :-)). My heartfelt gratitude to ALL the bay area ladies that chimed in and helped me pack for the trip. Except for my leather jacket, all I packed were layers and more layers. And I was super glad I did. From the unusually balmy Bay area to Yosemite valley, through the freezing Sierras (8000 ft above sea-level!), in somewhat chilly Vegas through Death Valley to sunny LA - except for having to buy a pair of boots to trek in Yosemite, I was never lacking for weather and occasion appropriate attire. I lived entirely in my BDG skinnies and Me Too Marcos and both held up fabulously, though I wish the BDG didn't bag as much at the waist.
Khris, I really wanted to be able to meet with you on our drive from LV to LA but with the Tioga and Sonora passes being closed because of snow, our plans were very much in the air. We couldn't cut through Yosemite and drive through Death Valley to Vegas as originally planned so we took a (BIG) detour enroute to LA. Since DH and I are already looking forward to another trip to your beautiful state, I am hoping for a more leisurely paced vacation where I can meet you all.
I hope to soon show everybody some amazing pictures DH took of breathtaking vistas.
Many, many thanks for everybody's help in getting me sorted. It is good to be back. I've been trying to keep up, but it is hard
