I could be wrong, but square toes do seem a bit dated. Perhaps depending on the rest of the outfit being current, you can still make them work. I have to do that with some of my shoes; can't afford to toss them all out if they're still serviceable.
Square toes aren't trendy, though you'll still see them around (especially for boots). If they shoes are very comfortable they may be worth holding onto, but keep in mind that if/when square toes come back around again the design detailing might be different. If you could post photos of the shoes we could give you more specific advise about each pair
I have a few pair (Etienne Aigner) that I wear. No one I know seems to know the difference anyway and they are super comfortable. I cannot wear pointy toed shoes.
Angie told me to go ahead and donate my squared-off knee boots... so I'm thinking dated. But then my boots were super old. The squaring was pretty wide.
Same as Anna, I vote keep the boots, donate the Liz Claiborne, and maybe on the Cole Haan (if they're very comfortable, keep while looking for a replacement).
These are pretty good quality, which makes a difference, too. I wouldn't buy #2 today, but I might keep them in my closet. They look almost retro to me, with the high vamp and stylized heel, like a 30's starlet's shoe.
