Heeled Fisherman Sandals... too much? ETA no-go

I love a fisherman sandal and wanted to try a version with a bit of a heel and a color other than black. I found these... brand is Journee, style is Kayda.
Here's a pic from the website as well as on my foot.
I am torn as to whether this is too much platform for a couple of reasons. 1. I am paranoid about tripping . 2. I am in my 50s but wondering if they read 'junior'.
Curious to what the fabbers think.
Also - I usually buy real leather only. These are fake leather and are actually pretty comfortable. I got them on sale for $60.

To my eye, they look great!Walk around the house to double check the comfort level. I have never worn this style myself, so no good advice on tripping.

These look great and have a fun boho vibe. The platform doesn't look exaggerated-- that's what would be a tripping concern for me. Will you be wearing these with skirts and dresses or with jeans? I'd see how they look with a few outfits to make sure they tick all the boxes - or at least a few. I think these look fun!

Yes I saw this style recently on a fashion website and really liked the look of them too.
I guess wearing them around the house would help give you an idea if they are an ankle twisting hazard or not.

I had these in the 90's. They were super comfortable and I wore them with everything. Shoe Math : Minus the front platform height from the back heel height to get the actual heel height. My heels were wooden, so quite heavy but still stable and comfortable. I was in my late 20's, so not juvenile for me.

I think they look great! Not junior looking...I'd wear them in a second and I'm probably 10 years your senior.

These are fun, definitely not Junior to my eye. The possibility of tripping would worry me too but the higher straps might help prevent that.

These are fun! It's all in the styling as to whether they will look "overly cute" or "right on point."

My sole concern (LOL) with this or any type of strappy sandal (esp. not in leather) is the potential for blisters in humid heat. I can't wear plastic sandals for that reason.

But I really like the shoe and would experiment with something similar myself.

Looks more like a ventilated clog to me than a sandal, so I see less than expected rather than any hint of too much

I think I can see they are the right size. Although your heel is a little over the back there seems to be space in the front. Maybe just the way you are standing for the photo? Sometimes too big can be more problematic for me than a tighter fit in sandals.

I wonder if they fit properly? It’s like your foot should be further forward but maybe the straps would not fit over the arch if it was.
Otherwise I think they look fab, not junior at all, not too high, great colour and great price!

They look like grown-up shoes to me! The tripping thing feels hard to answer for someone else. For example I have a personal rule against clogs and platforms based on bad experiences with regular old Dansko clogs, which clearly must be fine for lots of people since they are popular in professions like healthcare and food service where people need to be stable on their feet. I’m just unusually bad at walking on platforms. Are you?

I wear fisherman sandals as flats, platforms and even small heels. If they are comfortable, they seem good to me!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I wore them around the house fora few hours. They were not a tripping hazard but they just got less and less comfortable as the day went on. So, i am returning. I have many other pairs of shoes that just aren't that comfortable... i am trying to eliminate that problem, not add to it!

I will continue the hunt. Thanks again!

Totally with you there. It has taken me 6 years on YLF to make sure I am choosing comfortable shoes. So far think I’ve been doing well since about 2018, but it has meant leaving many pairs in store, or returning online ones. I don’t want to add to the few less comfortable ones I have kept, either!

I love those but share your concern about tripping. I don't own any wooden heels for that reason. I do like platforms and feel very steady on them.

Good choice to send them back if uncomfortable! What about something like these? I have similar in black and they're definitely all day shoes.

I don't know if you'll like these, but I have an open toe fisherman pair from last year and it is very comfortable, I wore them all they long while traveling in Europe. https://a.co/d/huZluzu
