Heeled boots with skinnies?

I'm trying to decide what pair of brown boots to get. I would ideally like a pair I could wear with both skirts and skinnies, and I don't really like to wear flat shoes/boots with skirts. I prefer a chunky not-that-high heel, so maybe that would work with skinnies?

Tricia, the last link goes to the Clarks Diamond exchange boots. It depends on whether you want more classic (Clarks) or cute and trendy (MizMooz). Both are thumbs up from me.

I think that all of them would work with skinnies, though it's hard to say for sure without seeing a picture of them with skinnies. The Wyld Polka definitely will, according to a review I found.

Are you ok with lacing up your boots each time? I would prefer a zipper because it's so much quicker.

Finally, how big are your calves? Would all of these boots fit snug enough to wear without jeans, but also provide enough give to tuck skinnies into them?

I like the look of the first two, but your skinnies have to be really tight in the calves to work with those. I've tried on similar pairs and got weird bunching action with my jeans.

The wild polkas appeal the most to me, but is the measurement accurate? 15.5 in circumference? Will that work for you? I am intrigued by the mention that they can be cuffed. Have you found pictures of them worn cuffed?

How funny... I was looking at the wild polkas thinking how much those looked like my black boots... then I realized those ARE my black boots. LOL They are great and have a nice elastic panel in the back. They would stretch very well over things.

I like either Clarks, I tend to prefer the Wyld Polkas.The only ones I don't care much for are the Miz Moos. I know these are a crowd favorite but I can't help myself, the heel and round toe make them look like witch boots.

I like the Wyld ones too. But I'd be concerned about the width of shaft, the one review says they're wide, might not work with skirts then. It's hard to find a versatile boot to wear with both skinnies and skirts, unless they're laced and thus adjustable..

I just wanted to add the wyld polka boots are on sale at jc penney for $29.99! I'm not sure how much longer the sale is going on, might be part of an early bird special.

Dee, really? Wow! I didn't even know that JC Penney carried Clarks, and got very excited for a while since these boots actually fit my wide calves.

Unfortunately, when I try to add any combination of size & width & color to my shopping cart, I receive a message that it is not available - I haven't been able to find any size of these boots at all that are on stock at JC Penney. The navigation on their website is absolutely terrible - no way to tell what you can actually order until you try to add it to your cart.

Kari - Bummer! I got mad at their website too. I had two pairs of boots in my cart, but when I went to check 20 minutes later it said one was no longer available. I'm guess they have must have been going quick at that price.
