Due to an unfortunate lapse in judgement and a one split second false move at the end of May, I have what my doctor diagnosed as "abdominal strain." She gave me some exercises, but the first time I tried the simplest one the pain got worse. Now it's weeks later and I'm not getting over this. I can do the pelvic tilt, but can't move on to dead bug.
In the meantime, due to relative inactivity and a trip away from home, I gained several pounds, which at my stage of life, go right around my middle. Now nearly every pair of pants I owns too tight at the mid-section, and I'm not a sweats type person. Don't own any. Believe me, you don't want to wear tight clothes when you have an abdominal strain.
So as of Monday I decided to take this problem seriously and stop doing so many things that aggravate the injury. Forget gardening and carrying my own groceries to the car. Pay attention to what I'm eating with a food diary. Haven't even been to the NAS. (Did order some stuff online.)
By posting here I am holding myself accountable. I'll report in with my progress next week. Thanks to you all.
