Hello healthy minded ladies! I think what you are doing is really important and exciting and I am rooting for you. After having my son (who is now six) I spent about 2 years fighting infection after infection and kept getting things like pnuemonia, mono, nonstop colds and such. I had a wonderful, easy pregnancy and birth but my immune system crashed afterwards, I think largely in part to sleep deprivation. As a normally very healthy and active person it was frustrating for me. I gained a lot of extra weight because I was too depleated from getting sick all the time to be active and too tired to shop and cook well, which I am sure added to the health problems. Anyway, I one New Year I resolved to reclaim my health again. In January a friend and I did a cleanse together and after that I had energy to start making changes. By April I had shed a good chunk of weight and was eating well enough to have energy to start being active again. That is when my friend took the first two photos I've posted. I was feeling so svelte and excited. By July I was running the miles I had left off at pre-pregnancy and had all my energy and stamina back. Most importantly I stayed out of the doctor's office and totally off antibiotics for over almost 2 years after that. That is when I had a photographer take photo #3. I felt totally healthy and successful in that photo. I didn't take a beginning photo because I didn't think of it at the time but later wished I had.

I want to share this with you because it meant so much to me and because it is a change that not only stuck, but one that I've continued to build on since. One of the things that really encouraged me to make all the small changes was to read other people's success stories, see the proof and know that changes do happen. Health and vitality CAN be restored. Something else that really helped me was the saying "Progress, not perfection, but always progress". I am excited to read about your progress and will be cheering you on!!!!
