Now that I'm making food and bringing it with me more often, I want to make this process work better. What do you do to make this easier?

In particular, does anyone have any recommendations for good lunch bags or lunch sets? I found this one, which is super cute but backordered:

I've gotten quite sick of using plastic silverware or having silverware from home rattling around in my bag and getting dirty. I looked into travel silverware sets and found a couple things, in case anyone else cares.

This is a lightweight travel utensil set that comes in a leopard print wrap!

This etsy seller takes antique silverware and wraps it in a homemade holder. Quite cute.

I bought a lunch tote by Built NY on Amazon last year. I got so tired of my snacks getting lost in the bottom of the beer cooler at the bar. Now everyone knows my 'rainbow bag' and there are no missing yogurts or celery sticks lol. As a bonus, it's lightly insulated so it keeps food cool or warm for about 4 hours. (very helpful when out on the golf cart in the summer at the second job)

My requirements for a lunch bag are: insulated, relatively leak-proof (if you've ever had something like curry spill in your purse you know why!), will hold a couple of smallish tupperware containers and still fit in my bag, and folds up flat when empty. The one I am using now was a freebie from some event, but I am thinking of getting one of these by Built:

Oh, and I just use regular silverware ... I wash everything right after lunch (obviously you can only do this if you have access to a sink/soap/etc) so I just keep the same set of silverware in there always.

Have you looked at Bento Boxes Medusa? I keep meaning to get one, but then I forget to look LOL
The Hello Kitty store always has neat lunch boxes and silverwear sets if you can stomach the character designs.
Camping supply stores would be another good place to look.

I have the Built lunch bag that Mo & Diana have, in bright dots! It's made of a material similar to a wetsuit, so insulates and is washable.

It may be wierd to love a lunch bag, but I do! It stretches and holds a ton (sometimes I bring breakfast AND lunch to work, and I always bring a snack as well). I usually pack it with tupperware box with a sandwich, a small thermos if I'm bringing oatmeal, a couple pieces of fruit, a small bag of almonds, a bag of carrots AND a carton of milk!

It collapses flat once the food is gone.

Google Mr. Bento and Box Appetit. My husband has both and uses one or the other every day. He especially likes the Mr. Bento because the separate compartments encourage him to take a variety of foods but in smallish quantities. Both sets include a fork or spork.

I am very happy with it. I don't always carry the water bottle and the bag, though. (I actually forgot some orange juice in the water bottle for a few days and absolutely ruined it). I usually stick the bento box in my backpack. I've carried various foods with liquids (not soups, but other stuff) and so far it has never ever leaked.

I don't take my lunch (SAHM) but hubby does. He uses plastic containers we got at Costco for cold stuff, and glass containers for anything requiring heating.

I just use a cheapo silver glitter luchbag from Old Navy. It was up near the counter and a mere five dollars. It is a big improvement over the plastic bags from Barnes and Noble that I had been using.

Oooo lunchboxes are my favouritist thing at the moment (sad I know!) I have Bella's laptop lunchbox in my wishlist at the mo (love the idea of Bento) and the built NY ones are super cute. I love the etsy cutlery very unique x

I just wanted to thank everyone for the great suggestions. I have ordered the Built NY lunch bag (it looks fantastic), the laptop lunch set, and some other reusable containers that I found on reuseit.com. I absolutely love box sets and containers that fit together nicely, this is going to make lunch so much more fun.
