Well, I've had to completely change my game plan!
I sat down and took a good, long look at everything, and I had to admit that what I was doing was not working, and I have been somewhat in denial. I concluded I need to go on a real diet - counting calories.
I did my BMR calculation and for my age and height, I need very few calories for my desired weight. I've been eating far too much for far too long!
I was very depressed for an entire day, but I've wrapped my head around it now and I'm looking at it as a way of taking control, rather than something that's being done TO me.
So, the official diet has begun - counting calories, writing down what I eat, making sure portion size is correct.
But now, after reading Khris' post, I'm worried! I know in the past cutting out bread/carbs really worked. I have a feeling I will have to do a lot of that. I'm just starting to think about what I can actually eat to stay within my daily calorie goals.
But - I'm feeling pleased that I've taken this step. Please - wish me luck! I'm going to need it!
