Last week was a weird mixed bag for me because I was so busy with my new job and getting ready for an exhibition that I ate very little (and nearly all on the run), and missed two training runs. I resumed my running schedule yesterday and felt fine, so no harm done. My half marathon is only 3 weeks away!
I'm still figuring out how to deal with dinner in a healthy way now that I'm working a 3-7pm shift. I normally like to eat dinner around 6 since I'm an early-to-bed and early riser person, so eating dinner at 8pm isn't my ideal. The radio station is a 45-50 minute drive from home. Ive been snacking on some nuts or fruit or a Fiber One bar during my shift so I'm not ravenous when I get off the air, but there's still the issue of dinner when I'm done. I resorted to a fast food chicken sandwich one night, but I don't want to make that a habit.
In good news from my doctor appointment last week, I've lost 10 lbs in the last 5 months. I knew I had made progress, but it was nice to see the numbers. My blood pressure is great too, lower than its been in years, even though it's never been high.
