Have kept up my regular routine, more of less - however did some bike threshold tests and run threshold tests that taxed my reserves! 'Coach' has changed up my weight routine as a result. Leg strength failed before cardio did, so now I'm doing more sets, less reps, and heavier weights! For example I've gone from squatting the bar 4 X 10-15, to a warmup set of 12 with the bar (45 lbs) then 5 sets progressing through 65, 75, 85 X 5-8.
I caved, and had a bowl of oatmeal and was in agony the rest of the day! I made oatmeal bars, but I'm not touching them! Next week DH and I meet with the health team for intake at the clinic that has accepted us. (We had been on a waiting list since moving here.) There is a dietician (Adam!). I am going to ask to see him about my gastro issues.
