GF - I am always impressed by your strength workouts, though I have no real criteria for judging, as they are so far above what I could even think of attaining, let alone do.
I've had a bit of a hiccup in my own strength training. Last Wednesday I was in the gym and tried to get a 20kg barbell down from a squat rack so I could do a deadlift - and in getting it down I hurt my wrist. I feel so silly because I did this a few years ago (other wrist). So now I've put myself pretty much off almost all weights until it gets better. Am holding off cycling to work for a while too, though I'll go to spin class tomorrow.
On the up side, I ran a personal best for 5km on Saturday's park run, which I was very pleased about.
I ran 8km this morning.
Weightwise I'm holding the same amount. I think I need to cut down on the amount of carbs I eat at night. I often get home and the plate is already served for me and I just go with it.
I have been on iron tablets for just over a week now and am dealing with the usual side effects. Hope I can stop after a month is up.
