I hope you're feeling better, shedev!
I've not been on these threads in a while, but I've been making a strong effort to track my eating for the last month with the MyFitnessPal app, and to pick up on my running again (which is so rusty that it's really more running/walking -- I am back up to where I can run about 1.75 miles before a walk break, and I'd like to get to where I can do a 5K with no walk breaks in the next few weeks). With the weather cooling off, bicycling season for me is now slowing down and I'll pick up more on running, which I much prefer in cold weather because I tend to heat up too much running in the summer.
I don't own a scale (haven't had one in years), but I think I've lost a few pounds since I started tracking with the app. Some jeans from last winter were feeling quite snug in September when I tried them on, and I'm feeling a bit of change in them now. I'm going to keep at it -- tracking is really helping me be more mindful about my eating, and I'm still totally satisfied and never feel deprived or like I'm "dieting."
I also signed on with a new Under Armour gym that is opening about a half dozen blocks from my studio in the city -- they had a really great introductory deal ($38 a month) for people who pre-registered, since it is opening in January. I've been wanting to get back into yoga classes or something to help work on my strength. I get plenty of cardio with the running, walking, and cycling, but I think the gym will be a good solution for the rest, particularly since I can walk down there to either take a break from working in my studio, or after I'm done working for the day. We'll see how that goes!
