Good and bad news here
THe good news is that I had a week off. We spent 4 days in a forest area with old friends who we go away with every year.Wonderful to have some screen- free time too.Did a little hiking, for the first time ever too the short option (8km)rather than the long 14 km (which my DD 7 and 9 did) owing to *
The bad news is that 1 gained around 2 pounds in those days and almost 2 more the day I after I got back!
I couldn't exercise as much either, as a few days beforehand I had had a supermarket trolley cut my ankle, which made it
* too uncomfortable to wear running shoes.
That is now almost healed and I am determined to make some changes, I have decided I can't put off doing weight training, and have committed to 2 sessions a week. I also counted out and bagged almonds in daily rations ( I didn't like nuts most of my life, but suddenly I like almonds and was in danger of overeating them) and stopped buying dark chocoloate since I can't seem to eat just 2 squares.
I am still struggling with feeling hungry and wanting to eat what is obviously too much, since I'm putting on weight.
Shedev - we are getting too hot - opposite of you
Carla - sure wish I was my college weight! (in fact I was, in March last year! - but can't get down that low again) Maybe triathalons are the answer!
Diana - Athens sounds amazing. I didn't like greek food much when I visited there as a child (too oily) but I bet I would now
Carter - what a great situation at the gym. I wish mine had classes like "upper body" and "lower body strength"!
Beth Ann - do you have a fitbit?
