Hi guys

I know it has been ages since I've posted and I don't even have much of an excuse, just that life has been a bit overwhelming. I have even been on the forum off and on once I got back from India in mid October, but I'm getting around to posting only now. Phew!

For those of you who remember, I was diagnosed with uveitis in my eyes and I went to India to find the cause and a cure. Unfortunately, after a million tests, the docs couldn't find a cure at all. The first doctor I went to prescribed a lot of oral steroids and immunosuppresants which, after getting some more opinions, I realised would be very harmful in the long run especially if I plan to kids in the next 3-5 years. Ugh. The same thing happened at a few more specialists, so I just went back to the eye doctor who I used to see regularly when I still lived in India. He prescribed a mild immunosuppresant for two weeks and I'm still taking those meds. Even this isn't a permanent cure, but hopefully it should ward off eye trouble for a year or two.

I also went to see an ayurvedic specialist who came highly recommended. He said the problem lies in my body heat and prescribed some oil massages (which I took in India) and three months worth of medicines (which I am stil taking). There is no way to be certain that this will work, but I am hope this will permanently cure my uveitis since it worked for a few friends of my parents.

Long story short? I'm on a lot of medication and keeping my fingers crossed for ateast a short term respite from my eye troubles, if not a permanent cure. Thank you to everyone who wished me well before my trip . I really miss you all and I'm hoping to be active on YLF once again Especially since my autumn winter wardrobe is pitiful - no coat, no leather jacket, no boots and just TWO sweaters. Time for some retail therapy
