Healing thoughts & kind wishes to San & her family.

I've wondered what happened to San since she hasn't been around for ages and I knew that both of you were good friends. She was one of my inspirations for joining YLF, so I've really missed her input and thoughts on the forum.

Huge hugs to her and her family for the journey ahead. San is an amazing woman and I know that she'll meet this challenge with her customary courage, spirit, and dignity.

I am so sorry, San, that you have to deal with this! You are a woman of amazing strength, pluck, and graciousness. I hope you'll find deep reserves of these as you go through treatment. I also hope your family will continue to be a blessing and source of strength for you during all of this.

With a very heavy heart .
Ditto Elpgal in that when I was a lurker many years ago San was a regular poster and SUCH an inspiration to me!
I will keep her , her family and you Angie in my thoughts and prayers.

Sandy is my friend iIRL. We are lucky enough to have been able to shop together and I spoke with her today. She has a wonderful positive attitude and lots of faith in her Doctor.
Sandy you have all of my love and support through this time.

Oh no. I am incredibly sorry to hear this and I am so sorry you have to go through this. San, I was just reminiscing the other day about our wonderful day in Gruene with Patience and Sarah, and that turquoise necklace you bought. It looked so beautiful on you. I treasure those earrings you gave me.

I am sending the strongest wishes for strength and a speedy recovery and MAJOR HUGS. I wish I could give you a hug in person. I'll post a little more later. Sorry, I'm having a hard time typing right now... :'(

Thank you all SO MUCH for your intimate and heart warming compassion. Sandy has gained even more strength I am sure. She is going to start treatment with your support and healing wishes, which counts for a lot. I'll keep you posted as I phone to check in our friend.

Please give us a shout if there is anything we can do to help. We are here for you!

(Thank you Debbie for the update, and thank you Angie for starting this thread).

Angie, thank you for starting this thread. Also, thanks to Debbie for the update.

I am really sorry to hear that San is going thru a rough spot. I used to be scared of the word, but after my grandma's diagnosis, almost three years ago, I realized that the word does not mean " the end". Any Cancer is treatable, even if it is not curable. My Grandma has an incurable stomach Cancer and she is still here! There are so many treatments and options, we should not be scared!

San, you will be facing hard months ahead. The task ahead might seem unattainable, how can one find the strength to prevail? Yet, I have seen the resilience of the human spirit at play. We are all able to find the strength we did not even knew we had. You might have found it already, if not, you soon will. I will be rooting for you in your fight. Go show Cancer who is boss!

Please let us know how you fare and be aware that we are all here for you 24/7.
XOXO,
Lina

Sandy was a frequent poster on YLF when I joined, and I remember her being extremely positive and encouraging towards all her fellow posters. I'm sure her positivity and encouraging nature will help her now.

Best wishes, Sandy, for a smooth treatment period and speedy recovery! I am sorry that you have had to go through this. You are very brave.

Oh, San.

My dad had a similar unexpected cancer diagnosis this winter after a year of not feeling well and my heart goes out to you and your family. A cancer diagnosis changes everything, catapulting everyone into new roles and a new way of life. You and your family are in my prayers.

When it gets overwhelming, please remember: one day at a time.

Many of us have unfortunately brushed up against cancer - either firsthand or through a loved one. It is brutal and your empathy is very much appreciated.

Sandy has read the thread and feels your warmth, love and support. She thanks you with all her heart. She is settling into hospital right now and I have texted her. Will keep you posted. xo

Oh, I am so sorry. San, you will be in my thoughts as you go through this very difficult time. Best wishes to you and your family; I wish you healing and strength.

Very sad. I'm glad San has so many people she can depend on.

San, you are in my thoughts and prayers! Remember when things get crazy, take 'em one at a time and chill.
