Having fun with the EF ballet neck dress

When I posted about my Nordies adventure a couple of days ago, a few of you expressed interest in seeing the EF dress on me, and styled. I had some time today, so here you go! This was fun... and I have to admit this baby is going to be a whole lot more versatile than I originally thought.

Please offer any suggestions or whatever on how I've styled it here. But first be honest - is it just TOO MUCH PINK? ie should I generally plan on wearing a topper to reduce that a bit? I bought it with that in mind, so you can be honest

1. Pretty much as it comes. Trying to look like the model. Excuse the Ironman watch and fitbit )
2. Adding a belt.
3. Dressing it up....
4. And dressing it down.
5. Hey, if I can wear a blue denim jacket, I can wear a white one!
6. And I can take it off...
7,8 Staying casual - with Birks.
9. Having some fun with matchy matchy turquoise. Blame THIS on my bracelets.. no, you don't need to take this seriously.

I never would have guessed that a pink dress could be so versatile. I LOVE the combinations you have here, especially #5. I adore the shoes (and the outfit combo) in #3, and I never would have guessed that pale blue would go so well with the pink. Brilliant!

Oh, and in response to your question, I don't think the dress sans topper is too much pink at all. It is a very flattering colour for you, and brightens your face.

Not too much pink at all - which surprises me, tell truth. It's crazily, obviously a really great *neutral* base considering all the smash outfits you've put together with it. I've hearted the dress. Pretty amazing!

It's a fab colour on you. Not too much pink at all. And yes, endlessly versatile. I like how nicely the dress styles with a belt. Works well with so many topper styles too. Great wardrobe addition.

It's great, and the solid pink is better than a print, IMO. Great for color blocking, and looks simple+bold.

Agree with everyone...looks great on you. Love all the iterations. Could try a long sleeveless vest like thingy for one more look. That would break up the pink (which is definitely not too much pink on you).

mtallen - a vest is a great idea! I have a couple of black ones, and a navy one. Will definitely give them a try.

I never ever wear pink, but I love this on you! I particularly like it with the black booties or birkenstocks, but that's my own style preference speaking.

I think it looks best without a belt - the cut works so well on you and the line is sort of disrupted with a belt.

Greyscale, pink is a colour I NEVER wore up until a couple of years ago, when I tried on a Danier pink leather jacket, just for fun, and it was like a lightbulb went off in my skin, and the sales lady's jaw dropped. "You HAVE to buy that". I agreed :). It was pretty much this deep clear bluish shade. My hair transition has helped my like it more on me too, but it's still hard for me to get around the idea of me wearing pink sometimes. I think this is why I was wondering if a whole dress is too much.

Great color on you E! And, I love the style of this dress. My favorite renditions are sans topper/scarf - such as #1 - just.so.cool. I only have a slight reservation about the length - it almost looks too short, but that's probably just a hang-up that I need to get over!

The dress is beautiful on you and not too much pink at all. This is a sophisticated shade, not Barbie. It looks like you could even wear it as a tunic, especially belted.

This color looks great on you - definitely not too much pink. I like the dress best without a topper or belt - very simple and elegant. Of the toppers, I like the longer length of the black.

My absolute fav is #5, worked back with the white. But I also love it on its own, especially with the simplicity of the booties in #1, and the scarf in #6 is lovely. A winner all around.

Wow, all of these are wonderful! That dress is a great find for you--such a flattering fit, color, length, and style. I think of all the looks 1 and 8, perhaps the simplest, are my favorites. But what fun versatility it offers!

It is interesting for me to see the different ways you have styled it as I prefer it with a more solid shoe rather than the (gorgeous) rockstud heels.

I also like 4 5 6 an awful lot!

I agree leggings could work really well, or even just black hose and boots (ankle or tall).

I prefer it without the belt but it does still work with the belt.

Oh, that's a great color, a great cut and some great stylings here, Elizabeth! Love it mostly with the flats, but nr 1 is very curent and polished, too! Nr 2 seems a bit on the shortish side to me (that is done by the belt) and nr 3 is on the darkish side to my springy taste, but otherwise big love, and thumbs up from me, too! YLF!
