Whyever would you compare it with that Seinfeld shirt? It looks really nice. Then again, you ought to know I have a pirate bias. But really, it looks and fits great.

I love my new puffy shirt from Garnet Hill. My husband laughed at it, though. I had to de-puffify myself before he took me to dinner. Oh well, I guess not everyone likes the pirate look! But Colette, we could start a club, I guess, if you want to get that one.

Oh, the reference is so funny! I love the Seinfeld shirt episode, and I don't think your shirt looks anything like that! You look terrific in your shirt and I have think it would be a great addition to your wardrobe. It's very flattering, and I never would have thought of it on my own.

Colette -- based on your dress search, would you be more inclined to wear a fitted white button down? If so, Brooks Brothers has some really nice ones that require minimal ironing.

The collar and cuffs do read a little "pirate-ey" to me but so what? If you like it go for it! Looks like a very nice and substantial fabric.

Get it, I love it! And keep looking for a more classic style button front shirt. One of the best things I learned from Angie was to duplicate my best go-tos (in my case, white shirts) if they become wardrobe bottlenecks when they're in the laundry. Before, I basically saved my white shirts for work days. Now, I can also pair them with jeans on Saturday or a printed full skirt on Sunday, and those outfits are so much more "me".

Thank you all for your opinion. I did not get the shirt but I'm still thinking about it. I loved the fabric and the fact that it was not just a classic button down, but I just couldn't see myself managing the sleeves. The biggest part for me was what kind of jacket would fit over them, without looking like a wrinkled mess. I always have to have a jacket or topper because I'm freezing.

Ledonna, how could I forget about Prince? Love him!!!

Mochi, I did not know about your pirate bias, would love to see your pirate shirt.

Sterling, I do want a classic shirt too. I'm going to check out Brooks Brothers. Is there a specific style that I should look for?

Hi Colette, here is a pic of me in my puffy shirt. Alas, the only way I could depuff myself was to change shirts. Yarrrrrgh. I guess I'll have to sneak around in it since my SO doesn't want to be seen with a pirate.

Colette -- this is the shirt I wear. It is their fitted shirt. It has held up very well through the years (not at all sheer and that matters to me). Despite the fact that it is "non-iron," I still have to iron it. But several of my friends swear that they take it right out of the dryer and wear it.

The body and the collar look great but I do find the puff sleeves to be a bit much It must be a nice material.
