Wow! This is both exciting and scary at the same time. Our whole lives will be Amazoned. I wonder if they suggest new items only available on Amazon, or everywhere on the web. I've never been inspired by fashion on Amazon (and I find it so difficult to wade through the zillions of items).

OMG another smart device that I totally don't want. I'm kind of an off gridder too (like rachylou), so I want no smart watches or smart glasses or smart hairbrushes or smart lightbulbs or things like this device to tell me my pants make my arse look big LOL

And I'm with you, KM. It's so hard to wade through all the stuff at Amazon. Then, when you find something interesting, every size is a different price. Ugh.

Oh no. The rest of my house is starting to be run by Alexa, thanks to my husband. They're not getting their hands on my wardrobe (though I'll happily order some of it from Amazon). I'll stick for asking Alexa for music or to turn on the TV.

There was a discussion of this on the radio while I was on my way to the dentist. I couldn't quite see the need for one. I did mention I was on the way to the dentist to have two fillings replaced. Not a good time to introduce something I don't need.

Someone gave us an Alexa for Christmas, but it is largely ignored, and we live in a house full of electronic gadgets.

Maybe it is your husband who really wants Alexa. I've noticed that mine loves consulting and bossing around Siri or whoever iPhone has.

We have a Google Home, which is similar to Alexa, and I don't get along with it. It never understands what I want. I've decided it's basically an expensive clock radio. My kids like it though. My middle son uses it to help with his homework ("Google, how do you spell..."). So, although this sounds fun, I'm not sure if it would work for me knowing my current relationship with our Google Home.

I want one of these!!! It seems very practical, at least for use here. I simply cannot get a good picture/right lighting.

We do have Alexa (Christmas gift for DH), but we use her only for weather reports and as a timer when cooking. Which makes her a very expensive and unnecessary object. I do find her to be smarter and easier to work with than Siri, but in general I'd rather google for info and use Spotify for music. So, I don't know .....

Ooh, I like the thought of this just for the ability to take better outfit photos, since I take daily "ootd" pictures with my phone standing front of the mirror and it can be tough, especially when there isn't good light. Not really interested in the whole Alexa system, we have a Google Home already. (And I also don't use the Home heavily...mostly to play music and add items to my grocery shopping list as I think of them; my husband uses it as an alarm and to get his morning news.)

I have to admit that the only thing I have to hide is my snoring. My mother reminded me. I hit myself with my phone while sleeping the other night. Yes! I sleep with my phone! I turned over and it went flying! Somewhere some secret agent, listening to me through my phone, is regretting their career choices... so maybe I'll reconsider. I do have a strong desire to say, 'Hey Alexa! Do whales sleep?'

I'm not sure what to think yet. I like the idea of a full body photo--I feel stupid asking my husband to take them and he's usually not around when I need it. But I don't think I'd use the advice feature. Plus I'm an Apple gal, and I'd never ask Siri for advice--she always comes up with random comments and can't find anyone in my phone. I yell at her!
