Have you seen these colorful watches? And would you wear one?

I was out at a store last week and spied these rubbery colorful sport watches. Has anyone seen these? What do you think? I kind of like the idea of having a quick colorful touch to casual looks but then I start to think they resemble all those rubber bracelets (aids, livestrong, cancer, etc) and I don't want to look like a billboard. Any thoughts on these? Have you seen them IRL on people? Am I hopelessly behind the times finding this to be a 'new' thing? LOL http://www.siliconebandwatches.....watch.html

not bad... I'd wear it (but not buy it, only if someone gives me one). I like my 2 watches I have though and wouldn't want to not wear one of them to wear this instead.

I've seen them in a bunch of stores but never have seen anyone wearing one. I think they're meant as a work out/gear watch. It'd be good for the garden!

I guessed you wouldn't Angie. You already have lovely watches. I don't think I'll be trying them, either. As QM pointed out, it's best for workouts and I have a Mio for that that I love. But I would like a white watch now that I've seen many of you wearing them - especially for this season.

I wouldn't wear one as they just aren't my style, but fine for others. I could see them being worn 2 or 3 at once or with the rubber bangle bracelets for summer.

They were giving similar ones away with Geox shoes. My friend bought a pair of shoes and I was ++++ excited to get one, but apparently they were only for kids. So if I had one (free) I'd wear one

I wouldn't wear one. I can't help but have the "rubber = toy/cheap/gear" association. I used to wear a "gear" watch many years ago but it had two timezones, a countdown timer and stopwatch.

Now if you told me the watch had a built in gps or compass or altimeter or similarly useless technical function, I'd wear it in a heartbeat!

A general truth for me is that if retailers are billing something as "fun," it's generally not my style. I think these would be in that category.

I wouldn't buy them because they look like something to wear when physically active; and when I am active I want my watches to fit tightly to my wrist and these do not. So what's the point?

I think this is fun for much younger people, age 6 to 23. I would not wear it. I may have worn something like this when younger. I used to have some pretty bright Swatch watches in the 80s.

Actually, I remember my son (17) came home with one of these from work a while back. They gave them to all of the employees so they could promote them...... he works at PacSun. That should give you an idea of who these watches are geared for.
I'd still wear it to run in though.... because I'm not willing to part with my clothing money for a GPS watch

I think they are super cute. Colorful and fun. I would definitely wear one, or two, or three lol.

They were really popular here last year and some of the mums at my school wore them and said they were fantastic. I don't care for the look of them so I wouldn't wear them myself, but all reports were that they were fine, functional wise. Lots of colour choices!

Cute, but not for me. My husband gave me a beautiful Philip Stein watch for Christmas that I now wear every day (changeable straps, yay!), and now I can't imagine wearing anything else, unless it was for running.

I like the colors, but I'd prefer something more like a Toy knockoff.

They are sold on flights as part of package holidays in the UK and seem to be quite popular for a fortnight spent by the pool or at the beach. They are so inexpensive they are almost disposable. Much as I can see the practicality they are not my personal style.

I've seen these in person and they don't hold a lot of appeal.
First of all, the band is VERY thin (smaller than a thin bracelet) but not adjustable so I imagine the watch face would be constantly flipping around your wrist--something that annoys me.
Also, if you are looking for a white watch, Mo, I would avoid rubber which will undoubtedly soil very quickly.
I do think these could work well for a very casual/very gear-oriented lifestyle but not for me.
