Have you heard of Skull Cashmere? ETA Pics

I found a cashmere pullover today at TJmaxx (the Runway dept) that followed me home. Something about the pattern and colors just spoke to me. I'm being very careful about cashmere this fall/winter, not buying most because even the pricier brands don't seem to last, but this looked like very good quality. The cashmere is very soft. I'll do some try-ons an take photos later.

I did some searches on google and found that this brand does a lot of designs with skulls on them, although the one I found had NO skulls. They also seem to call the brand "360 Cashmere".

Do any of you know anything about this brand?

Nifty sweater! If no one else has heard of it, it may be one of those brands that sort of just supplies TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc.

Christina F, thanks! I found examples of this brand for sale at Nordstrom Rack, Poshmark, and several other online sites so I think it's a "real" brand.

I am pretty sure have seen 360 cashmere at a couple of boutiques, so not just a house brand. That's a gorgeous sweater!

That sweater is so delightful. I am kinda smitten with stars on everything & really love the interest of the back differing from the front.
I grabbed a striped cashmere one from them online (I broke my SYC) but if I’d seen this, it would have won out.
New brand to me.

I've got a few pieces from this label - it is indeed part of 360 Cashmere. And it's most decidedly NOT a house brand for a discounter. One of my all-time favourite sweaters came from SkullCashmere.....

I really like this one too - and bet it will work well in your wardrobe.

Great sweater. I have heard of SkullCashmere and I have seen sweaters from that brand in indie boutiques. I haven't purchased one yet but I like their pieces.

I see lots of Skull CShmere at Nordstrom Rack...the stuff with big skulls. Not a good look for an over 70 yr old. I have one 360 cashmere pullover sweater going into its third year. It has pilling but it is about average.

Opaline I could not find a single image for this particular design anywhere online. It seems totally different from their normal style. Maybe that's why it ended up at TJmaxx.

Cee, if you do a search for this brand online you'll find lots of simple skull motifs, but nothing that says "pirate"...at least not to me. Of course you could add your own eye patch and fake parrot on your shoulder...:-)

Joy, I'm with you, have never been into skull motifs, and I would not have given any of this brand's more typical styles a second look. On the other hand, I know a man in his 70's who rocks a chunky skull ring. He is a a retired electrical engineer who grew up in a very tough, poor neighborhood of Boston, regularly attends the symphony with his wife, is very active in a motorcycle club (in good weather), and is one of the most interesting people I've ever met. Maybe you (and I) should rethink the skull motif

I see the skull as an iconic "symbol" and motif in art and design and it's represented in my wardrobe in both clothing and accessories, and in my house in several art pieces. And I'm closer to 60 than 50

Lisa is rght about the skull, ie the Memento Mori. You see it all over art!

Cardiff Girl....what a great eye you have, it DOES look a little art deco-ish. Any sweater that reminds me of the oldest metro stations in Paris is a good thing!

Hi Chris, I saw the same sweater last night at my TJ but they did not have my size. Does your sweater have an original tag on it with the name of that particular style? (they all have names). I love it and want to try and find it online or in other store. It’s a very good brand- I hope you enjoy it! Thx

That's a very cute sweater! I am familiar with the brand -- I was seduced into buying a Skull Cashmere slit-sleeve sweater dress at the Rack maybe two years ago but chickened out and never wore it because the short-ish length and straight cut is really not my best look. But their stuff seems like nice quality.

Suze1 no my sweater did not have a tag with the style name.

Interesting Janet, this sweater seems a good length for me which means it might be too short on those of "normal" height or a little taller like you so maybe that is a feature of the brand.

Chris, the one i got was a sweater dress, which hit just above the knee. I should have known better. Dress lengths are way more problematic for me that sweater lengths (in fact, many tops are a little too long on me!). I expect their tops/sweaters are a pretty average length.

Here are some photos. I tried it with a few toppers, but I don't think I'd want to cover it up since the pattern is so pretty. This brand must run large and short, if a S size fits me like this. Shown with grey jeans and grey booties, and with blue moto added and a b/w tweed moto.

I would not be likely to wear a jacket over it indoors because even with cashmere I need an underlayer to avoid itching, and adding a jacket too would make it too warm, but I wanted to try it.

I'm still a bit on the fence about cost vs versatility, since the sweater really needs to be worn on it's own, although i can see it with other other jeans/pants, or even my black knit pencil skirt. At US $129 it seems like a pretty good price for quality cashmere.

In all seriousness, you will wear this, I almost guarantee it. It looks really great on you. A patterned sweater can be incredibly useful to have.

I really like it! Awesome with the grey boots and all those colors in the pattern will give you tons of options. And cashmere is my weakness. If it is petite friendly, I may need to pop my head in to TJMaxx.

Suz, yes it would be great with the pumpkin coat but the very short season for that coat is almost over now as we are into real winter temps. Perhaps I should look for a warmer coat in that same color, it really is so great! .

karen13 do take a look in TJMaxx if you are inclined...I'm 5'1" and it's a almost-hip length on me. It would be a much more cropped look on a person of "regular" height. p.s. it was in the "Runway" section, which is not in all stores.
