I haven't been active here lately, very busy with various projects, but wanted to chime in about my recent vacation. My DIL arranged to rent an 8 bedroom house on Hatteras for a week. (I've never been there.) DH and I, my son and DIL and her children and grandchildren spent a week there. Also a sister and her friend. We were assigned the bedroom on the top floor--fortunately there is an elevator. After climbing over the sand dunes a few times and climbing stairs because someone left the elevator door open above, I felt good enough (for the first time in years) to just do the stairs.

Our photographer asked us to wear white for the photo--but waited for the day before and not everyone had white. Nevertheless he did a good job in grouping us.

The youngest, second to right in her Mom's arms, is 4 months. I'm the oldest. Well, someone had to be. The star of the week was the 14-month old boy smack in the middle. The two older boys are holding a new green frog and a new dolphin.

We had some meals together and usually breakfast. DH and I spent an extra few days in Norfolk to do more sightseeing. No rain while we were on Hatteras, mid-80s with high humidity. And freezing a/c. I'm not used to the humidity and tired quickly. Here at home it was 102° yesterday, much lower humidity, and I was out and about with few problems.

I need to get DH to give me his photos so I can share more.
